Madi Turns One + Photo Update

Aaron and I had a busy weekend, but a highlight was celebrating Madilyn’s first birthday. It was such a treat to be able to attend her adorable mermaid-themed party, and Madi’s momma, Kelly, did not disappoint with the decor! How cute is this set up?

The most entertaining part was watching Madi try birthday cake and open up presents.

Miss Madi even had costume changes with two separate tutus. You can’t get more adorable than that.

We had an absolute blast. Happy birthday, Madi!

And in effort to keep up with my changed ways in the October Photo Challenge, I’m also including the last couple days of photo prompts. Woop! Look at me go…

Day 19: Noise

Madi busting a move to her musical toys was the perfect photo to capture noise! This little one has quite a bit of rhythm already. I can’t wait to see  if she ends up being a ballerina one day!

Day 20: Nature

The James River is one of the defining characteristics of Richmond and a popular spot for both water sports and relaxation. During the warmer months (especially the summer), the rocks on the James are littered with sunbathers.

Day 21: Air

I took this photo about a week ago when Aaron and I went to Charlottesville. The sunsets and the clouds were just heavenly.

What did y’all do this weekend?

Aww, Madi is adorable and I love the colors of the party. Great photos for the Photo a Day challenge too, especially the river one. How neat about everyone sunbathing out there. I fell off the wagon with the challenge and didn’t get back on, whoops! We went on a brewery tour this weekend which was quite cool. 🙂

What a cute little girl Madi is – and chances sure aren’t too bad for her becoming a ballerina, huh :)?

Your pictures look great! Whenever I see a sunset like in the last one I think of what my father once told me: Pink clouds mean the angels are baking.

Absolutely right! She already has the outfits and everything! 🙂
And I love what your father said about pink clouds. That is so sweet!
