For Love of Riding Boots

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Ariat.

Little known fact about me: growing up, I rode horses (English, of course. I was living in Virginia after all.). Even many years later, something about that time has stuck with me fashion-wise. No, it wasn’t the crushed velvet helmet. That I’m more than willing to leave in the past. But my obsession with riding-style boots has stuck around. So it’s really no surprise that I was drawn to Ariat Boots.two tone leather riding bootsFor those who have ridden in the past (or currently ride) Ariat might be a familiar name. They began as an equestrian footwear and apparel company. I know the first time I heard of them was back in my riding days; however, they no longer focus solely on equestrian boots. Ariat offers fashion boots and accessories that have been featured in the pages of Vogue and InStyle. (So you know they must make fashionable pieces!) But what I love about Ariat is that they’ve stuck to their equestrian heritage, using it as the inspiration for their footwear. So trust me when I say that you don’t need to know a thing about posting or mucking a stall to look the part.j.crew chambray, juicy couture cardigan, j.crew minnie pantsI chose to style the York Boot because I love the two-tone leather and the hardware. (Don’t you love the details? Such a classic style.) I paired them with my J.Crew Minnie Pants (say yes to stretchy knits!), chambray, and my favorite over-sized cardigan. Together this combination is weekend comfort at it’s best.ariat two tone women's leather bootshow to wear an oversized cardigan with leggingschambray with open cardigan weekend styleover-sized cardigan with knit pants and knee high bootsI had been wanting a two-tone boot for a while, but had held out for the perfect fit. I am so happy that I did because these definitely exceeded my expectations. The leather feels so luxe yet sturdy enough to last. And with their classic style, I know they’ll be an item I wear for years. With skirts, with jeans, with dresses– be prepared for these to become a Fizz and Frosting staple!

The two-tone is fantastic! And the simple cardigan and chambray combo is so classic. How cool that an equestrian company now makes fashion riding boots!
