I’ve got to be honest with y’all: when it comes to putting in that little extra effort into my appearance lately, I have been slacking. It’s been freezing cold, and even though we’ve gotten our fair share of precipitation (hello nonstop rain and snow!), the dry, Winter air has done a serious number on my skin and hair. When all I want to do is snuggle on the couch in my sweats, something about getting all glammed up just hasn’t appealed to me.
Needless to say, I was pretty excited when I got the opportunity to try out some P&G Beauty products to breathe a little life back into my beauty routine and give me some red carpet-worthy confidence.
Pantene Damage Detox Weekly Rehab Crème / Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Creme / Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Heat & Protect Shine Spray / Gillette Venus & Olay Razor / Crest 3D Profession White Whitestrips / Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo / COVERGIRL Bombshell Volume by LashBlast Mascara / Secret Clinical Strength Light & Fresh / Olay Sensitive Body Wash
I’d love to highlight some of the products I’ve tried so far and how they worked on me!
Let’s kick it off by talking dry, Winter skin. UGH. Olay’s Sensitive Body Wash was perfect for me. It lathered really well (which is oddly important to me), smelled great without being overpowering, and left my skin feeling clean but moisturized. I could definitely notice a difference out of the shower. Scaly legs, be gone! And speaking of legs… although I am a long-time user of Gillette’s Venus razors, this was my first time trying the Venus & Olay razor. It glided over my skin (no knicks or cuts!) and left my skin feeling softer post-shave. I’ll be ditching my old razors ASAP for this thing. It may look kind of bulky, but it was easy to maneuver, and I really liked the close, smooth shave!
Now, let’s talk locks. If you didn’t notice already, I’ve got some hair. A LOT of it. And it does tend to be on the dryer side if I’m not careful. So I couldn’t wait to try Pantene’s Damage Detox Creme. I’m an avid leave-in conditioner user to help with detangling, but I was amazed at how well my hair was tangle-free straight out of the shower. After blow-drying I was even more impressed with the results. I typically have to run the flat iron over a few strands to eliminate some frizz, but there was very little frizz to worry about! Eliminating some heat styling is a win in my book.
Now the last product on my list just might be my favorite. Olay’s Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream brightens the skin and eliminates dark spots over time. Although I haven’t used it long enough to experience a more even tone, I can say that I immediately saw a luminous quality to my skin after applying to my face. The smell was great yet light enough and I loved that it wasn’t heavy or greasy on my skin. I was able to use it directly along with my regular makeup routine and felt a little extra glow. What girl doesn’t want that lit-within look?!Getting to try some new products re-inspired me to really get back to giving myself a little everyday glam. I may not be walking the red carpet anytime soon, but I can still have that red carpet beauty confidence!
