Weight: 18.4 lbs
Eating: Layla is just a great eater. She loves her food and has yet to refuse anything I’ve offered her. Her latest new additions include watermelon and kiwi. Favorites are banana, mango, avocado, and of course the beloved puffs. She loves feeding herself and will swat away my hands if she doesn’t want any help.
Sleep: No change with nighttime sleep (11.5 – 12 hours) but still isn’t a huge fans of naps. She’s taking three a day (most days), but they typically only last around 30 minutes.
Clothes: She’s primarily in 6 month clothing, but I’ve had to buy some 9 month sleepers since she’s growing too long.
Mood: Such a happy, sweet girl. Layla spends most of her day “talking” and trying to make me laugh with laughs (real and fake!), smiles, and sniffing at me with a wrinkled nose. She’s definitely becoming a little entertainer. She occasionally gives me cuddles, but most of the time she’s a wiggle monster. She’s constantly flopping around, reaching for anything around her, and flipping upside down.

Layla is becoming more independent by the day. During playtime she busies herself with her toys, clapping them together and throwing them (and then trying to retrieve them). She’s not crawling yet, but is making quite the effort to move around. She’ll do several rolls in a row to grab something out of reach, but if it’s still too far she becomes so dramatic, grunting and squealing. She also does a little scooting on her booty, but rolling is her preferred method of getting around. She still loves playing peek-a-boo, especially with her lovey. Layla loves to clap too and is working on waving.
She’s incredibly observant and knows several words like her name, milk, hungry, binky, lovey, look, puffs, and dogs. She also likes music and will bop around or nod her head to songs or commercials. Bath time is still a favorite of hers. Her obsession with her orange puffer fish continues. It’s even made it out of the tub and on a few car rides lately!
