Happy 10 months Layla! I can’t even believe that a year is approaching so quickly.

Weight: 19.4 lbs

Eating: Still a great eater. Lately she’s been loving berries of all kinds (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries), chicken, broccoli, and peas. She’s still eating three meals a day, two snacks, and breastfeeding four times a day. (Phew! That’s a LOT of eating!)

Sleep: Layla seems to be sleeping a smidge less at night, but still at least 11 hours. She’s also taking two naps (8:30ish, 12:30ish), but she’s sleeping longer for those, which is really nice!

Clothes: She’s still wearing mostly 6 month onesies, but her outfits and sleepers are 9 months.

Mood: So happy! She only fusses when hungry or tired. She loves entertaining Aaron and I with her silly faces, dancing, and waving. She’s constantly on the move, but she’s still affectionate, giving snuggles and kisses in between playing. Stranger danger is still in effect, and it takes her a little while to warm up to new surroundings or people.

Layla finally started crawling last month, and it didn’t take long for her to pick up speed. She loves crawling around the house and following me into the kitchen. The wine fridge, which has buttons and a reflective front, is her favorite. She loves pressing the buttons and laughing at her reflection when I’m cooking. She’s also been playing more with kitchen items like bowls and spatulas lately. She seems way more interested in everyday items than her toys!

She can pull herself up to stand at lower levels, but it still trying to master the coffee table. She’ll stand up on her knees instead to grab the remote or whatever else looks interesting to her. She’s also talking more and more. She doesn’t say “that” as often, probably because she’s learning more words. “Dog” is still her favorite, and she says “Tug” (terg) now too. Other words she’s saying include “outside” (ows-eye), “dada”, “more,” (ma) “toys,” (ters), and “water” (wawa).
