Striped Maxi Dress

When I was preggo, I had such good intentions, trying to buy pieces that would work for pregnancy and beyond. Some of those lasted for a few months post-pregnancy, but most of them are now packed away in a pregnancy box even if they weren’t technically maternity wear. One of the exceptions? This tank striped maxi dress.

The last time I saw this dress I belted it to accentuate a baby bump!

I kept most of the things I bought during pregnancy – as I usually have a very baggy/slouchy wardrobe, haha. The thing I’m saddest to see I can’t use any more is the maternity jeans I had, the stretchy belly panel just doesn’t’ stay up without a baby belly there. I probably stretched them too far at the end as baby was overdue, haha! They are packed away just in case we decide to have another baby, or if any of my relatives has another baby 🙂

Thank you for the link up!

That’s a great dress, and I’m glad it was able to do double duty as a maternity dress too! I had the same plans of buying pieces that would work for both too but most of those didn’t happen for me either–I have a similar “maternity” bin in my basement.

I love a maxi dress! Super comfortable and versatile! It’s a wardrobe staple when you live in the Caribbean 🙂

I was the very same way with a lot of the clothes I wore during my pregnancies. Lucky, now I’ve been able to pass a lot of them on to Erica, so I feel like they’re getting a good amount of wear! This is such a great versatile dress!

Love this striped maxi on you! It’s so fun to see/hear how you reworked regular items for maternity wear too. As I get closer to that stage I will definitely be taking inspiration from you when the time comes.

I said the same thing with my prego clothes, but they are collecting dust in my basement lol! If I had that dress, I would so wear it now

I wouldn’t fret about having packed away your maternity clothes – we have them for just that reason! No need to feel obligated to wear something designed to accommodate a baby bump when you no longer have one.
