Being a parent is expensive. If you’re already a mama or daddy (or even parent-to-be), I know I’m preaching to the choir. Baby food, clothing, toys, wipes, and diapers… OH THE DIAPERS. It all adds up! So when I was given the opportunity to partner with Family Dollar’s Kidgets, I couldn’t wait to try out their budget-friendly diapers.
I’m typically a pretty brand-loyal person. I find something I love and stick to it, but with diapers I’ve kind of broken that mold, trying quite a few brand names as well as store brands. I have figured out what I like (and what I don’t!), which I always find to be super-helpful when testing out new products!
One of the first things I noticed upon receiving the Kidgets diapers was how slim the design is. For babies on the move, having a super-bulky fit is no bueno. Big diapers can really get in the way! I also liked how soft the inside of the diaper is. Layla’s comfort is a biggie for me! Plus it has a hypoallergenic inner liner, which is great for babies who suffer from some skin sensitivities. Lastly, I was a big fan of the stretchy grip tabs. They are perfect for ensuring a snug fit. No saggy diapers here!
The only add-on that I wish they had were the wetness indicator line. Not all brands have them in Layla’s size, but they are nice way to do a quick check for dirty diapers. (You know, without sticking your nose up to you baby’s behind.) Not a deal-breaker, but I wish all diapers had them!
