Leopard Pocket Top

Happy Monday! I’m still in California, trying to enjoy my last day of vacay before we fly back to Virginia tomorrow. If you caught my Instagram, you might have seen that things were a little rough while we were dealing with my dad’s health. He was in the hospital for several days, but thankfully he was released and got to spend a few days with us. Even though things didn’t go as planned, we did have some fun and got to enjoy a little sunshine.

On one of the warmer days, I wore this adorable leopard pocket top sans-jacket. It was pretty funny though to see how I dressed in comparison to the Californians. Although it was nearly 50 degrees, I saw several people in coats, pom beanies, and their heavy scarves. For me, 50 felt downright Spring-like!! I probably won’t be able to go jacket-free for a while still once back in VA, so I had to enjoy it. Plus, it really allowed the leopard pocket top, which is such a steal under $18, to shine!

What a great deal for that cute top! It’s always funny to me how people in different climates react to the same weather. For us, even 4 inches of snow wouldn’t be a big deal, but farther south everything shuts down over just an inch!

I’m sorry that your dad was in the hospital but glad that he got to spend at least a few days with you.

The top is very cute. I love the leopard pocket! And, yes, we are basically wimps here in California when it comes to any temps lower than 70… 😉 I grew up in a cold climate but can’t handle the cold at all anymore…

Thanks for the link up & have a safe trip home!

So sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he feels better soon. I always find it humorous when I travel to warmer climates in the winter and see how they dress too.

I’m so glad to hear your dad is doing better! And too funny what you said about California clothing options because when I saw that you wore this outfit while you were out here, I thought “it wasn’t warm enough here for that type of outfit”. Haha! Being born and raised here, I consider anything below 70 to be cold. lol
