I’ve always been pretty religious about cleansing and moisturizing my skin. But over the past year or so, I decided to step up my skincare game. I’ve experimented with quite a few different options and have found a few favs. So if improving your skincare routine is one of your goals, you’ll love my top skincare favorites!
Cleansers
Finding a great cleanser was the first step to changing my skincare routine. I’ve been using Purity Made Simple for the past couple of years and it continues to be a favorite. It cleanses gently and is perfect for sensitive skin. I also love Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. I used this one for my recent travel and fell back in love with it. It is so gentle and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated!
Exfoliators
I struggle with remembering to exfoliate twice a week, but it’s something I’m working on! Although I used scrubs previously, once I found The Cure Exfoliator, there was no going back. You apply the liquid to your skin, and let it sit for a minute or two. Then you gently exfoliate in circular motions. You can actually see the dry skin coming off, which is oddly satisfying. Additionally, the e.l.f Lip Exfoliator is one of my must-haves! It’s super-affordable and a necessity if you like wearing bold or matte lipsticks.
Oils
Adding a facial oil was one of my most recent additions. After cleansing my skin and before moisturizing, I apply the Rodial Stemcell Super-food Facial Oil. Although my skin usually suffers from dry patches this time of year, my skin has been so hydrated and even glow-y. I attribute it completely to this facial oil! Also it smells amazing.
Moisturizers
For daytime moisturizing, an SPF is a requirement. One of my favs is the Murad Age-Balancing Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30. A little goes a long way and it’s super-hydrating. After going through my tube of Murad, I tried the Elizabeth Arden PRO Triple Protection Factor with SPF 50. I love that it’s tinted so your skin doesn’t get a white, streaky look like some moisturizers with sunscreen!
For my nighttime routine, I’ve recently been using La Mer products. I received a set as a gift for Christmas, and I totally can see what the hype is all about! The La Mer Moisturizing Cream is so thick and hydrating. I’ve also been using the La Mer Eye Concentrate. Both are pricey but so luxurious.
Peel
I’ve had the Microdelivery Peel for close to a year and have only used it twice. Oops. Like exfoliating, it just kind of slips my mind to use it, but it is so effective. If you want to brighten and to improve the evenness of your skin, this product is for you. It only takes about 3 minutes and the results are immediate!
Masks
I love a good face mask. Anyone else? For clearing my pores, this Origins Charcoal Mask is awesome. And as crazy as they look, I am a big sheet mask fan. Although I love the Sephora Sheet Masks, I’ve found that the TonyMoly Sheet Masks are an awesome affordable alternative. We’re talking about 11 masks for around $10! They always leave my skin feeling so wonderfully moisturized!
Are there any products that I should try? What are your top skincare favorites?
So every time I go to a store I look for that e.l.f. lip exfoliant- and it’s always sold out. I need to break down and order it online! Hugs, Kait

I had no idea that E.L.F. had a lip exfoliator. It looks great – as do all the rest of these products. I’ve been meaning to try the Purity Made Simple cleanser for some time now! My current loves are my Clarisonic Mia 2, TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Mask, and the HydroPeptide LumaPro-C Brightening Pigment Correcting Serum. Serious life-changers!
