I love a good striped dress. (In fact, you can see all of my striped dress outfits here. Spoiler alert: there are quite a few!) They are a major staple in my wardrobe. But while I have a few in my collection, I still picked up this striped midi dress because it’s so different from the others!
In general I tend to stay away from fuller skirts. I’ve found that straighter cuts work better for my figure, but sometimes a girl just needs a little twirl factor, ya know? (Or at least the fun of a wind-catching skirt. This 30-something gal isn’t exactly twirlin’. 😉 ) And the waist is cut a little closer to empire style, meaning that it works perfect for a growing baby bump. It also has a longer midi length, which is also a bit out of my comfort zone. I probably wouldn’t wear it with flat sandals, but I did love it with these shorter heels!
For all my U.S. friends, I hope you are enjoying your long weekend with friends and family! We went to a cookout on Saturday and had a big work-around-the-house day on Sunday. Today I’m hopeful we’ll actually make it to the pool to veg for a bit!!
