Although I’m almost 18 weeks at this point, this look was one of my last first trimester style outfits. Creating cute first trimester outfits can be difficult for a lot of women. I know some women experience very little body changes during those first thirteen weeks or so, but I am not one of those women. I feel like my body goes into full on pregnancy mode rather readily. And this being my second pregnancy, it came on even more quickly than the last!
My bust got bigger, my hips shifted, and my belly definitely got softer and more round. I quickly  gave into the comfort factor and embraced maternity jeans this go around! Why fight it, ya know?! I used a belly band for a little while. (If you want to delay buying maternity pants they are helpful!) But let me tell ya: maternity jeans are 100% better! No slipping band/jeans, no protruding button, nothing digging into you belly (especially if you’re suffering from nausea!!)…
And for tops, I was all about slightly looser comfy tees and blouses. This was one of those tees that I picked up early on. I looooved the one shoulder design. (I know I’ve mentioned it before, but it’s worth saying again: if you’re not into the off-shoulder look, one shoulder tops and dresses are a fun alternative. And they are much more practical too!) Plus the bottom of the tee is actual tshirt material, meaning it’s plenty stretchy for a growing belly!
Pre-pregnancy I almost always wore a small in Loft tops, so I ordered a medium in this one. To be honest, I should have stuck with a small. It was loose all around, including the bust. So expecting or not, I would recommend staying true to size or sizing down! 😉 And if you love this top, grab it now! It’s on sale for under $25 in white, but is only $18 in navy blue!!

I can see just wanting to embrace maternity jeans – why be uncomfortable? Love the white top, the eyelet ruffle is so cute.

You look beautiful as always 🙂 I was similar in the first trimester – my boobs just remembered pregnancy last time and were so big, gaaah! haha. I was back in maternity bras early on!
I prefered maternity jeans over belly bands too, but the belly band did come in useful for allowing me to hide my pregnancy longer by wearing my regular pants instead of maternity ones.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! 🙂

Congratulations! How exciting! I waited forever to get maternity jeans with my first, and used them right away with my second, and it was so much more comfortable. 🙂
Looking good girl!
