I know there has been a lot of talk about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale around here lately. And even if you haven’t checked out my previous sale posts, you probably know that the sale centers around new merchandise, most of which is for Fall! BUT there are still plenty of items at a discount that you can wear now! So today we will be talking the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks for Summer. And of course this striped midi dress is one of those items. (If you want an easy, breezy Summer dress that will take you through Fall, this is it! ?)

Firstly, let’s talk about this dress. Everyone knows how I feel about stripes, right?! (Lauren + stripes = ? ? ?) Stripes are an always-classic pattern that mix so well with other patterns and pretty much every color out there. (Almost all of my pattern-mixing looks contain stripes for this reason!) So you know pattern-wise, this dress is a winner. What I also love is that it is so flattering. The way the stripes lay, it draws your eye to the smallest part of your body and then just floats away from it. It’s a nice lightweight fabric, and the back has the cutest details! The top has a row of buttons and then there is a pretty cutout. The cutout is low enough where you won’t have to worry about your underthings! YAY! For Fall layering, add a chunky cardigan sweater (this is my current fav!), utility vest, or jacket (leather or a utility jacket would be my rec!).

There are so many great dresses on sale. Besides my stripe midi, there is also another midi dress option (#6) that comes in several solids. This printed slip dress (#1) is so on-trend. (Layer it over a tee once it’s not quite so hot!) #10 is SO flattering (my sister bought this dress!) and will transition perfectly into Fall. I also REALLY love #14: I need this to wear with sandals now and booties and a faux leather jacket later!

If you’ve been wanting to try a jumpsuit, #8 is perfect. It has the look of a sundress, but is actually wide legged! Also this flirty romper (#13) is one you’ll wear from day to night!

Want some cute tops? For me, this bow top (#3) was a MUST. You can adjust the bow to make it more or less boxy! (See it on me in my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale dressing room reviews!) I also tried and loved this lace tank (#2) (see my review post!). I own two prints of this tee (#7). It’s only $17! And this off shoulder bow detail top (#9) is ADORABLE and only $22!

Lastly, let’s chat shoes! Mules are a great on-trend option for now into Fall. These (#4) come in three colors and are under $50! I own these Adidas (#12) in another color, and y’all, they are the most COMFY sneakers ever!! And if you’re looking for a Fall shoe to wear now, you have to check out these peep toe booties (#16)! They are seriously FAB.
