Like it or not, Fall is almost here, y’all. Although the end of Summer is always a little bittersweet, I can’t help but look forward to Fall and all of my cooler weather clothes. Forget about tank tops and bikinis! It’s all about layers! 😉 If you’re ready to make that Fall wardrobe transition, you’ll need these five must-have pieces for Fall. Let me tell ya: you’ll be taking on Autumn with style and ease! 😉
1. Cargo jacket or vest
Light jackets or vests are always a good idea in my book. Even though Fall weather can be a bit unpredictable, you won’t be too hot or too cold. I specifically tend toward cargo or utility jackets and vests because they embody Fall style. With their earthy olive tones and military vibe, you can’t go wrong.

2. Plaid button up
If there was only piece that you would buy, I’d say go with a classic plaid button up. There just is no Fall without plaid, y’all! And if you think all plaid is heavy and thick, think again. There are plenty of options available that will suit your climate. Go for cotton-based plaids if you have warmer weather. For cooler areas, thicker flannel plaids are perfect for you!

For Fall booties are my #1 go-to shoe. What I love about them is that you can wear them with anything. Pair them with Summer-y dresses and they instantly give you a Fall vibe. Wear them with shorts or jeans! If you’re still experiencing warm weather, opt for an open toe style!

4. Long Cardigan
I live in long cardis during Fall and Winter. They are my favorite layering piece. Again, this is another item you can wear with everything. Pop one on over a dress or wear it with shorts or pair it with jeans. And if you get one long enough to cover the booty, I’m all about wear them with leggings too. I will even wear them over pj’s as loungewear at home. Clearly, I am obsessed. And you should be too. 😉

5. Moto Jacket
Instantly add edge and a major cool factor with a moto jacket. If you don’t want to invest in real leather, I totally understand. All of mine are faux and they are still great quality. Even if you want something even lighter, try a knit version. They still have all the style without the heaviness or weight of a (faux) leather or suede!
