I don’t think it’s a secret that I’m a Nordstrom junkie. I love the brands they carry, I love that they have varying price points, and I am obsessed with their customer service. They truly go above and beyond for their customers. So when I heard that Trunk Club was a Nordstrom company, my interest level immediately went up! I do so much of my shopping online. Why not save myself the hours of browsing the site with the assistance of an online personal shopper? If you’ve been considering the service, or even have been wondering what it’s about, read on for my first Trunk Club review!
What is Trunk Club?
Trunk Club is an online service, where a personal stylist (you can request mine here!) helps you select items based on your style preferences. You fill out a style profile that includes your sizing, your favorite colors, types of clothing you’re looking for, and your price preferences. Then you connect with your personal stylist, who asks more in depth questions (via chat or phone!) about what exactly you need and want.
The stylist selects items for you and sends you a preview. You have 48 hours to review the items and remove any that aren’t your taste. (OR remove if you already have similar items! I was amazed how well my stylist nailed my style. There were several items I had to switch out because I already owned them!!)
Then your trunk is shipped to you (fo’ free because that’s how Nordies rolls). You can try on all the pieces in the comfort of your own home. Keep what you like, ship back what you don’t. (Again for free!)
If you are a Nordstrom cardholder, the service is free. For non-cardholders, there is a service charge of $25. But if you purchase anything in your trunk, the fee is applied to your purchase.
Phew. Hopefully, I explained that well enough! Let’s get on to the items!!
Wit & Wisdom Jeans
The first thing I tried was these jeans. Overall, the feeling was very “meh.” The waist was snug but the legs were incredibly loose and stretchy. If y’all saw my Insta story try-on, you saw how far I could stretch them. The fit just wasn’t for me. However I did like the wash and distressing.
Free People Jacket
Oh, how I wanted to love you so much, jacket. However there were two main issues. The first was the sizing. I requested mediums in everything, but I always size down to a small for Free People. They have notoriously oversized fits! The midsection was just too wide. Secondly, the jacket had dolman sleeves, which I didn’t love. Again, I think I might have felt a little better about the jacket if it had been the right size.

Bell Sleeve Sweater
This is the perfect lightweight sweater! I love the bell sleeve. The sleeves are wide enough to make a statement, but they’re not huge. It’s totally wearable and comes in 5 beautiful colors! The only reason I didn’t keep this one is because I already have a similar sweater in orange.
Stripe Off Shoulder Top
This is another piece that I really wanted to like but didn’t. The fit was strangely tight across my hips, and I do not have wide hips. I would def recommend sizing up on this one!
Top (Size up one size!) | Jeans | Necklace
Pink Bell Sleeve Blouse
This top was a surprise winner! When I saw it in my trunk, I wasn’t super-excited. But when I tried it on I LOVED it. I found it surprisingly flattering, and the v-neck was not low cut. I did the bend-over check and there was no visible cleavage. THUMBS UP!! This is the perfect date night top.
Sweater
If you want a great basic sweater, this is your jam. It is the softest fleece-like material. Seriously, you aren’t going to want to take it off. It has a flattering ballet-neckline as well. Sizing is definitely oversized, but I liked it a bit bigger. If you want a closer fit, size down! It comes in 8 colors!
Bell Sleeve Top
THIS TOP IS ADORABLE. That is all.
Juuust kidding. The material is light, which makes it a great option for you ladies in warm weather places. I love the flirty little hem too, but the cut is oversized. I’m in a medium, but it was entirely too wide for my comfort. Definitely size down with this one!! It’s also on sale for under $35 and comes in blush pink!

Convertible Sweater
Y’all know I’m all about off shoulder sweaters. But they’re not always the most practical option, ya know? That’s why this one is everything. You can actually wear it three different ways. And it’s made of that same super-comfy fleece material as the previous sweater above. You’re going to live in this versatile top! Bonus: it comes in 8 different colors!
And here are the three ways to wear it! Which is your fav?

Wide Sleeve Sweater
If you’re on the hunt for a trendy sweater, this is it. It has a mock neck and wide sleeves (with a slit)! I love how soft it is too. It comes in four colors and is so affordable under $40!
Final Thoughts
Did you like the service? Heck yes. My personal stylist truly listened to me and found me pieces I loved. She also sent me things I wouldn’t necessarily have ordered myself, which was wonderful. Nothing better than falling in love with something unexpected right? I’m all about expanding my style! (Again, if you’d like to work with my stylist, you can request her here. She is so sweet and wonderful at her job.)
Is it worth the fee? Another resounding yes. I have a Nordstrom debit card, so my fee was waived. But I would happily pay the $25 fee. I doubt there will ever be a time when I wouldn’t find at least one piece I love. So really that fee would be going toward items anyways, and there wouldn’t be any additional cost.
How many pieces did you keep? I only kept one piece (this convertible sweater), and that is not at all a reflection of my stylist. She NAILED IT. There were just some pieces upon examination of my wardrobe that I didn’t need.
Are you going to continue getting trunks? If so, how often? I AM! I chose to receive monthly trunks, but I love that there is an option to change the frequency. You can receive them every two months or quarterly as a seasonal refresh! Since I order so many clothes on my own, I may end up changing the frequency in the future, but I’m so excited about the service right now. I already want another trunk!
How does this compare with Stitch Fix? Complete honesty here: I have never done Stitch Fix before. It seems like a very similar service, but I will say this. What drew me to Trunk Club is that the items are Nordstrom brands. The quality is amazing. And I already went on and on about their customer service. I know if I ever have an issue with quality/sizing/anything, Nordstrom will 100% make it right.
So what are y’alls’ thoughts? Have you done Trunk Club? If not, you should def give it a try!
Cool! I was thinking about this forever! For busy people and no clue what I wear ones!
What a great sounding service! The pink top looks lovely on you!
Have a good weekend 🙂

I still need to try this and it’s a no brainer since I have a Nordstrom Card. I love that you can do it seasonally when you really need a closet update. That sweater is gorgeous!
I’ve never tried a service before just because I find I’m quite picky about fit…I would maybe be into it but I’m not sure haha. Also – love the blush blouse on you!

Love the white nydj croppex jeans in my spring trunk, good for my 48 year old legs and body! Excellent quality. Wish they were cheaper.
