Hey, y’all! Welcome to my second Trunk Club shipment! If you’re new here or wondering what Trunk Club is, I’ll share a little blurb from my previous post! Want to see what I received in my first trunk? Check out my initial thoughts here! And without further ado, my October Trunk Club Review!!

What is Trunk Club?

Trunk Club is an online service, where a personal stylist (you can request mine here!) helps you select items based on your style preferences. You fill out a style profile that includes your sizing, your favorite colors, types of clothing you’re looking for, and your price preferences. Then you connect with your personal stylist, who asks more in depth questions (via chat or phone!) about what exactly you need and want.

The stylist selects items for you and sends you a preview. You have 48 hours to review the items and remove any that aren’t your taste.

Then your trunk is shipped to you (fo’ free because that’s how Nordies rolls). You can try on all the pieces in the comfort of your own home. Keep what you like, ship back what you don’t. (Again for free!)

If you are a Nordstrom cardholder, the service is free. For non-cardholders, there is a service charge of $25. But if you purchase anything in your trunk, the fee is applied to your purchase.

Bell Sleeve Sweater + Cropped Skinny Jeans

If this top had fit properly it would have 100% been a keeper! Unfortunately the sleeves were a bit too tight on my upper arm. The polka dot print and color are so perfect though! If you have smaller arms, you’ll probably be okay to stay TTS, but you might want to order one size up just to be safe!

Now these jeans fit wonderfully in the waist and had the perfect amount of stretch. What I didn’t love about them was the crop. I’m already on the taller side at 5’7″ 1/2, so sometimes cropped jeans are just a little too short. That’s how I felt about these, so they went back. (They’ll be the same ones you’ll see me wearing for the rest of the try-on session!)

Ruffle Trim Floral Print Top

This top is all the things I love. The dark floral print is gorgeous and I love the dainty ruffle sleeve; however, I just didn’t see myself wearing it much. If I worked in an office setting, this baby would be mine. But for casual days, I prefer something a bit more laid back: sweaters, tshirts, cardis… You got me, right?! Also because the weather is turning colder by the day I worried I’d never wear it enough without layers. And if I hid the ruffles, I lose a big reason why I love it! In the end this also went back. But it pained me a little.

Plaid Poncho

I LOVE this bright red print. How cute would this be for the holidays?! Just throw it on over a long sleeve tee, turtleneck, or sweater and go. I also love that it has pockets!

V-Neck Sweater

This lightweight sweater felt so lovely on. I love that it has a relaxed fit and that the material is so soft. The downside? It was just too wide. If I had received this in a small, I probably would have kept it! It comes in two other colors! Size down!!

Plaid Scarf

This one is just a big fat nope. I like the color and the black and white pattern, but it is just so lightweight! If you live in a warm weather place, this could be for you. It actually does get pretty cold here, and I knew I just wouldn’t wear it. I need more warmth from a scarf!

Ruffle Top

My stylist clearly caught on that I like ruffles! I like this top, but like the floral one I just didn’t see myself wearing it a ton. And the color just felt a bit off for the season. It does come in two other colors, including a beautiful mauve-y purple shade that would be gorgeous for Fall! Aaaand it’s 40% off! For those of you working in an office, I’d pick this up!

Bell Sleeve Sweater

I actually really like this color and the material is so soft. Buuuuut, the sleeves are a little too statement-y for me. (And yes, I’m making statement-y a word.) I’m a mom. Do you know how often I clean up spills, wipe booties, and so on? I don’t need my sleeves getting in any of that! ? It just doesn’t fit my lifestyle at the moment, but one of y’all needs this top!! It also comes in two other colors and is under $40!

Tassel Earrings

These are another item I love that just don’t fit my current lifestyle. They felt a bit heavy and I just don’t wear anything that statement-y (there it is again!) right now! If I were going to a wedding or party, these would be my JAM. They are gorg in person! If y’all have holiday parties on your horizon, check these out.

Tunic Sweater

I’m already regretting sending this one back. But if y’all remember, I purchased a tunic sweater in my last trunk and just didn’t think I needed two. But honestly, I like this one better! It’s a bit longer, which is perfect for leggings. The only thing I didn’t love (and my husband pointed out) was that it was wide. I might end up ordering this in a size down if I still really miss it in a few weeks! The piece was my #1 favorite of the entire trunk!!

Final Thoughts

I still really love the service and think it’s worth it. (Again it’s $25 for non card-holders, which is applied to any purchase; it’s free for cardholders.) My stylist continues to nail my style. I truly liked every piece. Many of them I just didn’t need at the moment or didn’t see myself wearing in the coming weeks.

I am continuing to do the monthly cadence, at least until November. With the holidays, I probably won’t need any new clothes, so I might take a break until January. But we’ll see how I feel after the next trunk!
