Happy New Year, y’all! I know I’ve been a bit MIA lately. Especially around the holidays, it’s nice to unplug and enjoy the moment. We’re still in California with my family for a few more days. We’ve been really enjoying taking it easy. I even snuck in a nap or two, which has been glorious! But I’m excited to be back it, bringing you this chunky turtleneck sweater outfit today!
I eyed this sweater for months. I’m a huge chunky sweater fan, and I’ve professed my love for all the cream sweaters too. So, I was a little hesitant to buy it at first. But it went on sale, and I had a gift card to spend. It was a no-brainer at that point! And now I am so glad I snagged it. It’s pretty much my chunky turtleneck sweater dreams come true!
The waffle-knit texture is such a cool detail, and it has a great thickness. If you live in a cold-weather place, this would be a great option for you! I also love the wide sleeve and cuff. It hangs perfectly just slightly below the wrist without getting in the way. It also comes in a gorgeous peachy-mauve color and a color-block design. As far as sizing goes, I’d definitely recommend sizing down one size. I’m in a small, and it is still plenty oversized!
Also, in case you missed my Insta stories, I’ve got to tell you about this new crossbody bag! I just ordered it (at the same time as my sweater!), and I’ve been loving the smaller size. Y’all know that I’m a tote girl, but it has been so nice downsizing. I’ve noticed I don’t throw in as much junk simply because I have the space! Plus I also like being hands-free. The pretty cognac color is a winner too. Although if you’d prefer black, it also comes in that color! Basically this entire outfit is an all-around win in my book!
Don’t worry about not being around on the blog much – fun with family is always more important! 🙂 Especially over Christmas and new years! 🙂
I like your cosy knit, it looks so comfortable! 🙂
Happy new year! Hope that 2018 has started nicely for you! Mine has been so enjoyable as I’m still on leave from work so I’m taking the opportunity to relax!
