I’m sure like many of you, I am always on the hunt for a great pair of leggings. You know, the magical pair that is super-comfortable, flattering, and provides good coverage? Yep. Over the years, I’ve spent countless dollars on pairs at every price range. I’ve ordered from everywhere from Target to eBay to Nordstrom. And this year, I’ve finally narrowed it down to the two pairs of leggings I can’t live without. They live up to every item on my wish list, and you’re not going to want to miss out on them!
The first pair are these faux leather leggings. I’m not gonna sugar coat it: these are not cheap. The price is actually what kept me away from them for so long! But finally all of the hype, including those 900+ five star reviews, broke me down. I ordered them, still believing I wasn’t going to love them. Buuuut of course I was wrong. They are thick, sturdy, and will keep you warm. And the best part is how flattering they are! They suck you in without being uncomfortable and definitely look high end.
If you want a pair of leggings that you can dress up and down, these are them! I could definitely see them working in a business casual setting as well. I’d layer them under a sweater dress for extra warmth and style! But they also work for the most casual looks too! Throw on some sneakers, a tee, and long sweater and go!
As a warning, I will say that although I love these, the other (non-faux leather) leggings from Spanx have underwhelmed me. I ordered quite a few of the non-leather leggings and did not find the quality the same! (You can actually watch the try-on on my Instastories try-on highlight!)
Now, the second pair of leggings I can’t live without are these! I discovered them two years ago during Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, and I haven’t looked back since. The high-waisted version is my fav because they are are flattering and they stay put! They’re thick and warm, perfect for wearing to the gym or in your everyday life. What I love is that they offer more coverage than many of the higher-priced versions out there. They are truly a gem, especially at the price! I now own three pairs of these, so that should be a testament to my love for them! Here is an example of how I’ve worn them! You can also see them a bunch in my long sweaters for leggings post!
I feel like I should also give these Hue leggings an honorable mention. I own two pairs of them, and they were my go-to before discovering Zella. They have a nice wide waistband, which is flattering. My only complaint is that they are pretty lightweight compared to the other two options. If you live in a warmer weather locale or want a light Spring to Summer option, I’d still recommend them!

Love your pink dress in that first outfit! 🙂 I really need to get into leggings – I got a $5 with any purchase pair years ago and that’s the ones I’ve worn when I’ve wanted leggings, haha! I tend to stick to fleece-lined tights in winter instead 🙂
Thank you for the link up!
Hope that you are having a nice start to your week 🙂 We finally got some cooler weather after our weekend heatwave, so I’ve been enjoying that! So very different from your snow!

Lauren, I am loving that pink sweater! So adorable. It’s funny because last winter I was all about the leggings. This winter I don’t think I have worn leggings once! Probably because I haven’t found the perfect pair and they all slide down on me and drive me crazy! I will have to check out your picks.

The leather leggings look so sleek! I don’t usually wear leggings as pants, but it would be nice to have a pair for lounging.

Yes I have been eyeing the faux leather leggings for quite some time. I am hesitant because of price but like you there are so many good reviews on it. I am hoping to snag it soon and give it a try. I love you lace up sweater. It’s a nice detail to have on an already beautiful item.

love the leggings! ANd that pink sweater!!
Thanks for the tips! Love the outfit with the pink sweater! So cute!
As cute as those first ones are, I’m not sure if I could justify spending that much on leggings. The second ones are much more in my price range! I love how you put them with boots. I always do that in the winter.

I’ve seen bloggers rave over and over again about the Zella leggings. I don’t know why I haven’t taken the plunge and bought a pair yet! Next anniversary sale, I’m definitely buying a pair. I have a pair of regular black spanx leggings and while they’re not my absolute favorite, they were pretty fantastic during c-section recovery.
They look super comfy and tresndy.

I love the faux leather leggings! True, they aren’t exactly cheap for leggings, but I’d rather pay more for something that’s great quality and that I’ll wear over and over. I’ve been looking for some leggings that I can wear with a sweater dress or long jumper. I may have to invest in some Spanx leggings – they look great on you!
