I don’t typically get into to dressing up for every holiday, but for Valentine’s Day? Yes, please. I mean, pink is already my JAM, so I’m 100% for going full-on girly girl with a little red too! And this year I had the sweetest little partner in crime. ? Don’t mind us. We’ll just be wearing these matching mommy and me outfits for Valentines Day straight through spring!

The idea for our outfits came about when I saw this adorable “crazy little thing called love” tee at Target. Isn’t that how all good ideas start? Just casually minding my own business stalking the new arrivals at Target?! It was a no-brainer purchase. And in turn, of course, it let to a weeklong search for the perfect tee for me. (I’ve shared this before, but I get obsessive when I’m on a mission! ?)

Y’all know that I’m a big fan of a classic stripe tee. They’re timeless and versatile. I especially love wearing them for Spring and Summer. (In fact, you can check out all my striped tee posts here! There’s lots of good outfit inspo!) And the addition of the little heart embroidery totally got me. It’s so stinkin’ cute and not limited to just Valentine’s Day!

But one of the things that I love most about these mommy and me outfits is that they’re easily replicated. Black denim, cute tees, and denim jackets are truly staples in both my and Layla’s wardrobes. You could easily find a couple of matching stripe tees at many places: Target, Old Navy, H&M. Or if you like the graphic tee route better, just try to find a pair that have coordinating colors. With spring right around the corner, there will be no shortage of pretty florals to chose from! Or mix and match. A floral tee for you and a striped one for your little one? YES, please!
