Dressing for summertime pregnancies can be rough, y’all, especially if you live in the south! I never remember getting too uncomfortable with my summer pregnancy with Layla, but I also worked in an air conditioned office. Now that I work from home and am constantly on the go with a toddler, it’s a different ballgame. I’m already feeling the humidity and heat! I am so glad that I packed this chic maternity shirt dress for a recent trip to Annapolis because the humidity was no joke. But this dress is so light I was comfortable for walking around site-seeing! I have a feeling it’s going to be my go-to summer pregnancy outfit this year!
The dress is actually two pieces. The top layer is super-light and sheer, but it comes with a cotton tank dress underneath. The tie in the front is also adjustable, which I love. You can create a more fitted, bump-conscious fit or leave it more relaxed. Of course I couldn’t help but also dress Layla in a shirt dress for a quick mommy and me snap too. (You can see more mother-daughter outfits here too!)
If you aren’t expecting I love this non-maternity shirt dress option! This outfit formula would definitely still work for everyone! Light and breezy pieces are a must in summer!
Dress c/o (non-maternity version) | Shoes c/o | Bag — under $25! | Scarf | Earrings c/o | Nails

That is a cute dress, perfect for outside of pregnancy too as the buttons will work for breastfeeding! 🙂 I was pregnant over summer and the last time it was so hard as the summer heatwave continued into autumn, there was no break in the heat, ugh!
Hope that you had a great weekend! I went to a party on Saturday and got the chance to spend a rare moment shopping without the kids yesterday which was wonderful! 🙂
