One of my favorite days is Trunk Club arrival day! I mean, doesn’t everyone love getting a package in the mail? And it’s even better when you know it’s going to be cute clothes. Last week was no different when my September Trunk Club arrived! I was pumped to try some nursing-friendly (and postpartum-bod-friendly!) options! And there were definitely some winners!
If you’re new to my Trunk Club reviews, be sure to read more about how it works! But if you’re familiar with the process, scroll down below to get straight to the try-ons!
What is Trunk Club? How does it work?
Trunk Club is an online service, where a personal stylist (you can request mine here!) helps you select items based on your style preferences. You fill out a style profile that includes your sizing, your favorite colors, types of clothing you’re looking for, and your price preferences. Then you connect with your personal stylist, who asks more in depth questions (via chat or phone!) about what exactly you need and want.
The stylist selects items for you and sends you a preview. You have 48 hours to review the items and remove any that aren’t your taste. (OR remove if you already have similar items! I was amazed how well my stylist nailed my style. There were several items I had to switch out because I already owned them!!)
You can also request specific items be added to your trunk as well! Had your eye on something on Nordstrom.com? Just send your stylist a note that you’d like it to be added to your trunk! As long as the item is available your stylist can include it!
Then your trunk is shipped to you (fo’ free because that’s how Nordies rolls). You can try on all the pieces in the comfort of your own home. Keep what you like, ship back what you don’t. (Again for free!)
If you are a Nordstrom cardholder, the service is free. For non-cardholders, there is a service charge of $25. But if you purchase anything in your trunk, the fee is applied to your purchase.
Phew. Hopefully, I explained that well enough! Let’s get on to the items!!
September Trunk Club Review
For this trunk, I requested nursing-friendly options!
Henley
I love a good tee, and I actually really love a good Madewell tee! (I swear by the whisper ones!) But I was underwhelmed with this henley. Obviously it’s too tight in the chest. (Thanks, nursing boobs.) But I also thought it was a little thin. I really do love the sleeve length and style though. It also comes in four other colors, including a pretty olive!

Madewell Button Down
Y’all, I love this shirt. Love, LOVE it. The weight was nice, the material isn’t one to show wrinkles easily, and of course it’s nursing-friendly! If you haven’t tried this cut of top before, it’s a bit different. It’s wider up top and narrows some at the hips. It’s best worn front-tucked or knotted at the waist. It could also be tucked in to a skirt! I’d recommend staying TTS for a bit of an oversized fit.

Plaid Tunic
I really wanted to love this tunic, but I didn’t end up keeping it. The positives are the length–it’s definitely long enough for leggings! I also liked the weight and material. It’s not heavy like a flannel, making it very wearable for these hot days we’ve been having still! The only thing I didn’t love was the color. It fell a little flat in person, and since it’s blue, I knew I wouldn’t wear it a ton with leggings.

Free People Booties
You might have spied these in the photos above. Once I put them on, I didn’t want to take them off! I actually requested these specifically from my stylist and they didn’t disappoint. As far as sizing goes, it is a little small and narrow at the toes. I have pretty narrow feet, so I stuck with my true size, knowing the leather would stretch some. If you have wider feet, you’ll probably want to size up.

Ruffle Tee + High Waist Leggings
This is another piece that I requested! Free People is one of my favorites, and I couldn’t resist the cute ruffle detail! It also comes in four other colors, including a deep purple that I love! It’s a ribbed tee material and so soft! Definitely a keeper for both leggings and denim!
I actually meant to request these leggings be removed from my trunk since I already have so many pairs of leggings, but I obviously forgot. #mombrain So, I tried them on but didn’t have high expectations. Once on, I felt pretty “meh” about them. I much prefer my Spanx and Zella high waisted leggings!
Sneakers
These are so different to anything I own! At first glance I didn’t think I’d like them, but I actually did once they were on! They have pretty decent support, which is really nice. And they come in a slew of colors and even a few prints! The reviews mention to size up, but I was happy with the fit of my true size.

Stripe Shirtdress
I came sooo close to keeping this one! I loved everything about it– the cut, material, the stripes. But the issue was the length. I’m 5’7″ 1/2, and slit from the bottom button just was a little too short for my liking! At this stage of my life, I bend over a lot with kiddos. Had it been a little longer on me, it would have been a keeper!

Jumpsuit
If you have never tried this line, you have to for the comfort factor. They are seriously some of the softest pieces! This is another I specifically requested from my stylist and I had super-high hopes. It lived up to the comfort factor 100%! My only issue was that it was a little clingy. The last thing I want right now is anything clingy to my midsection! So, sadly this wasn’t a keeper, but I hope one of y’all snaps it up! It also comes in black!

Crossover Sweater
I loved the look of this one! It’s very flattering and the color is so wearable! My main issue was that the crossover portion isn’t secured by a button or snap or anything! It could come open at any point and would really require a tank or layer underneath. I was sent a size large and found it a little big, so I’d say it fits TTS.

Long Cardigan
A great classic style cardigan! The material is lightweight and perfect for fall or early winter. I wouldn’t recommend it as a thick winter layer! It’s very soft and comes in five other colors! Fit is pretty oversized, so you may want to size down!

What items did you think were keepers?!
