With Christmas and NYE right around the corner, Loft has been having some amazing sales! I couldn’t miss sharing them with you, so I stopped in for a quick December Loft try-on! We actually all went on a snow day, and thankfully both girls were happy as can be. (Ellie slept the entire time, so that counts as happy, right?!) ?
December Loft try-on
As far as sizing goes, I am 5’7.5″ and currently a size 29/8 or a medium. I will be sharing each size I’m wearing as well as sizing recommendations! Be sure to check out the details below each photo!
Velvet Kimono + Scalloped Cami
Despite the dirty dressing room mirror ?, this kimono is gorgeous in person! The colors are deep jewel-tones, and of course the velvet is so soft. Although I size down in these types of pieces at Loft typically, I found that this one ran true to size. I tried the XS/S but would have preferred the medium! This kimono is one that you can wear casually and to fancier events! Imagine it layered over an LBD or even a black jumpsuit to a winter wedding, party or even NYE.
This scalloped cami is a great basic that also can be dressed up and down. I loved the higher neckline. This is one you could wear to the office! I’m in a medium. There was a little pulling at the bust line, so if you may want to size up if you have a larger bust.

Leopard Cardigan + Scalloped Cami
I made a beeline for this leopard cardigan when I saw it in store! It has a very relaxed fit. (In fact, I recommend sizing down one.) The only drawback is the lack of pockets, but it drapes really nicely and has side slits. (Not currently online! I’ll update soon!)
Cardigan (M – size down one) | Cami (M) | Jeans (28)
Velvet Dot Top
This velvet top definitely has a dressier-work vibe in my opinion. I love the feminine details: the slight puff sleeve, the light dots, and the empire waist are all girly touches. Fit is oversized. I recommend sizing down.
Top (M – size down one) | Velvet pants (29/8 – size down one)
Tie Back Sweater + Velvet pants
If there is a top with a bow, I will find it. ?I love the color of this one. Fit is oversized and not super flattering on me. I would definitely size down one! Also worth noting: there is a slight itch to this one if you’re sensitive! In all honesty, I prefer this one from Target! Almost identical style, no itch! ?
I also had to grab these jeans after trying the Old Navy ones. These are definitely softer than the ON version. They are mid-rise and quite stretchy. I tried the 29, but would have preferred the 28. Size down one!
Sweater (M) | Velvet pants (29/8 – size down one)
Fair Isle Swing Top + Velvet Pants
If you can’t tell from my smile, this sweater was my absolute favorite. I love the fair isle design. The hearts are the cutest detail. Aaaand it has a swing cut! This one was not itchy at all. I just loved it all around. Size down one! I’m in the small.
Sweater (S – size down one) | Velvet pants (29/8 – size down one)
Stripe Tunic Sweater + Velvet Pants
I didn’t even realize this one was a tunic when I picked it up, but I like it even more because of it. It’s the perfect length to wear with leggings and will also take you straight into spring! Fit is TTS.
Sweater (M) | Velvet Pants (29/8 – size down one)
Stripe Sweater
Another absolute favorite! I love how the stripes are neutral but the pink is a fun addition. This is another option that will take you through spring! Fit is a little more fitted than most at Loft. So, if you prefer a more relaxed fit you could size up one.
Cowl Neck Tunic
I really wanted to love this one. The stripes and grey tones are right up my alley, and it is SO SOFT. But it was a little thin and see-through. I could even see my nude bra in the dressing room. Plan to layer with a cami if you like this one!
Tunic (M)
Velvet Tee
This is another one I wanted to compare to an Old Navy version. The quality is definitely higher with this one. I love the puff sleeve detail! It really dresses it up! There wasn’t a medium in store, so I tried the small. Size down one.
Tee (S – size down one)
Eyelash Sweater Dress
I’ve been loving the eyelash trend lately! This dress is actually from the Lou & Grey line, which you know means that it’s super comfy! Fit is relaxed, but I would probably stay with the medium. This might be a lot of look for some of y’all, so if you’d prefer just a sweater, I love this one from Target!

Beret
Full disclosure: this is not something that I would’ve picked up on my own, but Layla saw it and really wanted me to try it on! (You can see her peeking in the picture ?) I did think it was pretty cute once I had it on! It’s certainly a fun option to switch it up from the typical beanie! If you have a fashion-forward friend, it could also make a cute gift!
Beret (OS)
Poncho
Postpartum and ponchos are just made for each other, especially if you’re breastfeeding! I love the texture of this one and the color. It is a dusty lilac/mauve. The only thing I didn’t love was that the sides are not fastened. I prefer when they aren’t open all the way around! Size down one if you can. I’m in the XS/S.
Poncho (XS/S) | Turtleneck (M) | Jeans (28) | Socks | Boots
Faux Fur Scarf
This scarf is so soft, y’all. SO SOFT. My store only had the pink and lilac versions but it also comes in a brown and cream, which are much more neutral!
Scarf (OS)
Clutch
Another adorable accessory and gift idea. Of course I gravitated toward the leopard, but they also have two velvet options and the winter floral.
Clutch (OS) – Also comes in velvet + floral prints
Leopard Ear Muffs
Layla couldn’t resist. I actually turned around for a moment to look at something and then saw her wearing them. She approves. ?These also come with a matching scarf!
Ear Muffs (OS)
I LOVE the beret on you, and I’d love to have one (but would have to have the guts to wear it I think? Love this try on and your honest feedback.
In love with everything. The beret♥️
I keep telling myself that I don’t need more clothes and then I see stuff I must have lol. I love that leopard cardigan but with my luck, it will have a lot of wool in it. Seems like way more of their sweaters and cardigans all have wool this year and I am allergic 🙁
I love the beret on you! It’s something I love to look at but don’t think I could wear it lol!
Great try on! I love all of these pieces & keep referring back as I get extra money to buy the items.
Hope you’re enjoying the holidays with your family! I miss seeing your face on my Instagram stories but completely understand how crazy & busy this time of year is, especially with having littles! I would love to see you do another Q&A sometime… those are my fav!!
XOXO!
Love your blog & your style.
