If you’re anything like me, you get pumped for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Fall clothing is my favorite: the booties, the jackets, the layers. I love it all! But then I realize that I’m still stuck in July, and it’s 90-some degrees outside! So, I wanted to put some outfits together for y’all. I used as many #Nsale pieces as possible to create Nordstrom Anniversary Sale early fall outfits that you can wear now!
These pieces will also transition nicely into cooler weather. Honestly, unless it’s a specific item I’m looking to replace in my closet, I have a hard time shopping for another season! So, most of the pieces I gravitate towards during the sale are ones that can worn both now and later!
Knotted Tee + Denim
I’m a t-shirt kinda gal. In fact, I have an entire drawer stuffed to the brim with tees! But one tee that was missing from my wardrobe was a leopard print option! What’s wonderful about an item like this is that it’s really season-less! Depending on how you style it, you could truly wear it all year long.
To make it warm weather friendly, I simply knotted it to the side with my favorite pair of jeans. You could also easily pair it with denim shorts, a skirt, wide leg cropped pants, or whatever you have in your wardrobe! Leopard is very much on-trend but it also a timeless print that you’ll see for years to come. For those looking for options, I found this $12 option, and this one is a little pricier at $34 but has amazing reviews!

Tank + Boyfriend Denim
Obviously a tank is an easy item to picture yourself wearing during summer! But the reason I gravitated towards this one was the color and print! With the deeper green and more muted orange floral print, it will be perfect for fall layers. I can see myself wearing it with a long cardigan or a moto jacket once it cools down! It also comes in a beautiful yellow floral print that is just as versatile!
For now, I’m wearing it with shorts, denim skirts, and these lightweight denim jeans. I hadn’t previously tried AG denim before, but now I see the hype! The denim is not only super-soft, it’s also somehow lightweight. It makes for the perfect transitional jean, especially with the cropped length!

Striped Cami + Long Cardigan
A cami is one of my wardrobe staples that I wear year-round! During summer, I often pair them with a skirt or tucked into a pair of denim shorts! But they’re also great for fall and winter with heavier layers. One of my favorite ways to wear them is with a moto jacket!
Like the green floral top, I was specifically drawn to this striped one because of the mix of colors! Paired with white or lighter colors, it still looks summery. For fall it will look great with darker colored denim, olive greens, and browns!
I also threw on one of my favorite sale cardigans! For everyday, it’s still a little too warm for a cardigan in VA, but soon I’ll be making this outfit a reality! Until then, I’ll keep it on hand for when the AC is blasting indoors! ?

Boyfriend Plaid
One of the first items I bust out when fall rolls around is a plaid top. Adding some plaid is just an easy, simple way to throw some fall vibes into your outfit! However I do have a rule for plaid on warmer days! It has to be lightweight! You won’t see me sweating it out in flannel, y’all. And this one is perfect for that! I love the light base of the plaid as well, which helps transition it nicely. Also the plaid is a brown and black mix– a favorite color pairing of mine for fall!
Wearing plaid with denim shorts is my go-to combination for early fall. But there are truly so many options. For the hottest days, I’ll wear it open layered over a cami or tank top. I also love wrapping one around my waist when wearing a t-shirt dress! If you want even more ideas, check out my post One Plaid Top Styled Fifteen Ways!

Camo + Leopard Print
Ahh, the old faithful t-shirt dress. Y’all know how much I love these, right?! From spring through fall, I wear these all the time. Most often, I just throw them on with sneakers. But they also can be dressed up more! Wear them with booties, denim jackets, cardigans, and more! (See all of my t-shirt dress style posts here!) You just can’t beat the comfort. Who wouldn’t want to be wearing a comfy tee all day?
This one is technically a sweatshirt dress, but the material is more of a medium weight. It’s not fleece-lined, which makes it more wearable as a true transitional piece for summer to fall. I also really like the length! It also comes in a black and white stripe option!
