One of my favorite things about cooler weather? All the leggings and comfy clothes! And when it comes to my comfies, I often find myself turning to Aerie! Year after year they make some of my favorite loungewear! So in preparation for fall (it’s a if you build it, they will come scenario, y’all ?) , I placed a big order and put together an Aerie try on haul! Get ready from some great casual outfit pieces, and yes, all the comfy clothes.
Aerie Try On Haul
As far as sizing goes, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 28/29 in jeans or a size 8. My bra size is a 36C, and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top.
If you ever have any question about what size I’m wearing, check the links below each image! I list my size and any recommendations I have for sizing up or down for quick reference. For full details, I’ll be chatting all about quality, style, and fit in the paragraphs above each photo. Let’s go!
I tried my first pair of soft overalls this spring, and I was hooked. They are so comfy. I love the bow shoulder tie of these, and the 100% cotton material is so soft. But, what I don’t love is the unstructured middle. These would be so so cute during pregnancy! (I’d size up one for a bump!) I just don’t find them very flattering on me personally! If you’re looking for something similar, I tried on these ones from Target and love them! (See me in them in my Target Try On May!) I actually ended up buying the shorts version, but I’m considering the long ones for fall!
This dress also comes in a short sleeve version, but I was drawn to this long sleeve one for fall! The tie waist is adjustable but doesn’t change the fit of the dress much! I also think this one would be so cute with a bump! (I’d think first to second trimester would be perfect!) It also comes in black and of course is super soft and comfortable! It also comes in black and runs TTS.
Y’ALL. I love these. I just got them in a few days ago, and I’ve already worn them. They were just an instant yes. They’re very lightweight, and I love the color. It’s perfect for transitioning for fall! They also come in navy and run TTS. I’m wearing a medium and love the elastic waist, tie belt, and relaxed fit. The belt is also removable if you’d prefer to change it up.
This hoodie is also a win! I’d been looking for something like this to wear with leggings around the house and also to the gym! I love the wide, boxy fit! I’m in a medium! It also comes in six other colors.
And onto the leggings! I have two other pairs from Aerie that are super-similar. So that and the color is what drew me in! They are very soft without compression but they are more of a moisture-wicking fabric. I probably should have read that in the description before ordering them! I was looking for more of a lounge-y option like my other pairs! But I do truly love the style and of course the comfort!
If you prefer longer tunic-length sweatshirts for leggings, this will be your jam! It is a super-soft sweatshirt with a very oversized fit. I sized down one to a small, and it’s still long enough to cover my booty! It also has side slits on both sides. If you’re not a leopard gal, no worries! It also comes in 15 colors and print options! You can also see me in the solid green version a little further down the post.
Another great top option to wear with leggings! And this henley reminds me so much of Free People. It has an oversized fit, long length, dropped sleeves, and thumb holes. It comes in five colors and is a super lightweight ribbed cotton. The henley snaps are functional but the oversized fit makes it great to just tuck a baby underneath as well for nursing moms. I’m in a medium. Even though it’s oversized, I’d recommend staying TTS for the length!
And the second item is another dupe for ya! These are Aerie’s version of the leather legging. They have the same exact cut as Spanx but they are not a compression fit. The texture is also smooth rather than textured like Spanx. They do have the same sheen though! If you can’t stand a compression fit, you’ll love the comfort of Aerie’s version. They are so comfortable! They are also a lot more affordable than a lot of the other leather-look options.
This is the same tunic sweatshirt as the leopard one above. So soft and comfy! I love the solid version too!
For those of y’all looking for a more supportive fit in a bralette, I definitely recommend giving this one a shot! The double straps feel a little more substantial. It also comes with removable cups, which many bralettes do not! I went with this nude color that works great under white tees. (I actually had it on with the white henley tee!) It does also come in eight other colors and has great reviews! The lace is very comfortable and I love the racerback. It’ll be perfect to wear with open back tops and sweaters.
Bralette (medium – TTS)
I ordered two different styles of undies as well! I’ve worn both style several times now and love them. They are comfortable and are truly no-show! Of the two pairs, I slightly prefer the “real me” style over the scalloped simply because they don’t seem to stretch out as easily. Both both are invisible under clothes! They do fit TTS. I wear a medium in both. (But I like I mentioned the scalloped ones seem to stretch a little throughout the day. If you’re in between sizes, definitely size down in that style!) Both also come in other (non-thong) styles! See all scalloped seamless here. See all “real me” style here!
