Y’all a Fall Target try on was way overdue! I’m typically in Target every single week while my daughter is in dance class, but most of the time I’m in there picking up whatever groceries we’re missing. And unfortunately, the one by the dance studio isn’t as well stocked in the clothing department. I know, y’all. Don’t they know I need all the clothes?! But recently I made a special trip to the “good Target” just for y’all… and for me. Of course I also did it for me. ?

Fall Target Try On

I was really impressed with the sweater selection this year! And I was surprised to find a few super-cute fall dresses too! I can’t wait to share them all with you!

My sizing 

For reference, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 28/29 in jeans or a size 8. My bra size is a 36C, and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top. I do find that Universal Thread can run a little large in general, but I always share my thoughts with y’all for each specific item!

Leopard Crew Neck Sweater 

Leopard lovers, rejoice. I know leopard sweaters are everywhere this year, but what I specifically like about this one is the oversized print and the color combination. The background is the perfect oatmeal and the spots are brown and black. Even though the print is bold, the color combo makes it perfect to pair with so many things. I’m in a medium. Fit is TTS.

Ruffle Neck Eyelet Top 

One of y’all recommended this top to me after I shared my Madewell try-on. And yes, y’all it is 100% a Madewell look-a-like! It does have an open eyelet design, but it doesn’t both me with a nude bra underneath. Both the neckline and the sleeve have a little ruffle detail! Fit is oversized but I do like the medium on me.

Textured Crew Neck Sweater 

I’m loving all of the brown this year, and that’s what drew me to this sweater! It’s hard to tell in the photo but the thread has a mix of browns and tans that is beautiful! If you’re not into brown, it comes in ten other colors! It’s just a great staple piece. The only caveat: there is a slight itch. It doesn’t have any wool in it, but if you’re super-sensitive to fabrics, it may bother you!

Textured Cardigan 

I’m not sure what exactly to call this textured pattern– it’s not really a cable knit. It’s almost a chevron? But regardless, I loved the design! The length is good, it’s soft, and there is no itch to it at all. It does also come in rust and gray! I’d suggest sizing down one. I’m in a small.

Leopard Cardigan 

This is such a fun sweater! It’s definitely on trend with the shorter length, grandpa-style fit, oversized buttons, and leopard print! Because of the buttons, you couldn’t wear it solo, but I do love it layered with a graphic tee! I recommend sizing down. I’m in the small.

Puff Sleeve Sweatshirt 

The perfect mix of casual and feminine details! That puff sleeve, y’all! SO CUTE. The sleeve is also more of an elbow length than short sleeve. And it has all the comfort of a traditional sweatshirt! You could wear it just like I am here, but I also see it dressing up well too! How could would it be with black jeans, heels, and a statement earring?! Or even tucked into a skirt? I’m in a small. Size down one!

Teddy Hoodie Pullover 

Who is into the teddy bear trend? I love it. This pullover has the super-soft material both on the inside and the outside, making it so soft and snuggly! It also has a kangaroo-style pocket. Sizing depends on the fit you’re looking for! I would prefer in a size down for more of a shrunken fit. But you could also stay TTS for the oversized look. I’m in a medium here. It also comes in blush pink.

Mock Neck Sweater 

The texture is what drew me to this sweater. It’s ribbed with exposed seams both down the middle and on the drop sleeve! I also just really love this shade of brown! It has a mock neck and an oversized fit. I would recommend sizing down. I’m in the small! This is definitely one of my top picks of all the sweaters I tried!

V-Neck Pullover Sweater 

When I saw this sweater, I instantly started envisioning leggings outfits! ?Once I put it on, it felt just a little too short for leggings in my typical size medium. It’s long enough in the back but the front is just a smidge short! I’d recommend sizing up if you’d like to wear it with leggings. It also comes in brown.

Crew Neck Sweatshirt Dress 

If you’re a comfort-lover, y’all check this sweatshirt dress! It’s like one big cozy hug. ?My store was pretty picked over so I’m in the XS here. But I ended up finding it at another store in a small and buying that size! So, I would recommend sizing down one. It’s perfect to wear with sneakers or booties now. Later I’ll layer it up with leggings! It also comes in blush pink and a faded green.

V Neck Sweater Dress 

I’ve heard so many raves about this dress that I had to try it myself. I gotta say I’m pretty impressed. It’s a very lightweight sweater and I like that it’s not overly clingy. I would still recommend wearing it with seamless undies though (which I was not wear this day of course?)! This could be worn casually with sneakers and booties. I’d dress it up with taller boots or heels! The layering options are also endless! It comes in three other colors too!

Fall Floral Maxi Dress 

Oh hey, Free People / Madewell vibes. I really loved this dress when trying it on but sizing was limited in my store! The one I’m wearing here is a medium but I ended up buying a small. Fit is very oversized. BONUS: POCKETS, Y’ALL. POCKETSSSS!

Long Textured Open Cardigan 

I love having at least one duster length cardigan in my wardrobe! They’re great for layering with dresses, leggings, jeans, and everything else! I just love the cozy feel of the long length. This one has a fun texture stripe. I’m in a medium and recommend staying with your true size.

Heeled Slouchy Boots 

When I saw these boots, I knew instantly they were a dupe of this pair from Nordstrom that I tried this summer during the Anniversary Sale. Style-wise they are so similar. They have a similar slight slouch, similar toe shape, and similar color. I will say that these look significantly darker in person than they appeared online. I also think that these are just slightly higher. They also come in black faux suede.

Over The Knee Boots 

These are another dupe of a more expensive pair of boots, and y’all they are a win! Not many boots are high enough to be a true over the knee boot on me, but these are! They have an elastic top with lots of stretch and also come in gray and black. At under $50, I can’t recommend these enough! I ended up sizing up half a size since my size was sold out. With thicker socks, they work perfectly.

Pointed Toe Suede Boots 

Another great find! I don’t know what it is about these, but they are so surprisingly comfortable! I love the pointed toe. They really lengthen the leg and are so flattering! As a flats-lover, I also appreciate the lower heel. They also come in black and leopard print! Fit is TTS.

Fall Floral Maxi Dress + Over The Knee Boots 

I couldn’t resist styling these two together! If you’re wondering how to wear a maxi dress into the cooler months, try pairing one with over the knee or knee high boots! The low heel on these helps keep the look dressy! But I’d also layer with a long cardigan for a cozier look! I know these boots are nearly sold out in this color, but they also come in black and grey!

Ruffle Sweater + Over the Knee Flat Boots 

This sweater is one of my favorite recent sweater finds! Y’all know I’m just a sucker for a ruffle detail! The ruffle detail is both at the neckline and on the sleeve! The knit is ribbed and a lighter weight material. It’s also super-soft! What I love most about it is that it can be easily dressed up or down. You could wear this to work and on the weekend!

These boots are actually a pair I’ve owned for over a year and Target brought them back this year! They have held up so well, especially for the price. You would never guess they were under $40!

Reindeer Jumpsuit + Tee 

If you have an ugly Christmas sweater party or any fun holiday occasion, you need this jumpsuit! Y’all it is so stinkin’ cute! It has an elastic waistband and pockets too! I love it so muuuuuch!! The nose is a jingle bell and there is a little plaid bow at the waistline too.
