When it comes to the holidays, Old Navy always kills it. Year after year, I find some of my favorite festive pieces there! From holiday pajamas, to casual outfits, to dressier options, we’re covering ’em all in my Old Navy holiday outfits and try on!
Old Navy Holiday Outfits
Nothing excites me more than a good holiday outfit! There is just something about all of red, bits of sparkle, and cozy fabrics that I just love! We’re starting off casual and working up to more dressier options. So if you’re looking for something for a dressier ocassion, you can just scroll on down to the bottom. But honestly, I would suggest reading all the way through. There is SO MUCH good stuff here. Y’all are going to love my Old Navy holiday outfits!!
My Sizing
For reference, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 28/29 in jeans or a size 8. My bra size is a 36C, and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top.
If you ever have any question about what size I’m wearing, check the links below each image! I list my size and any recommendations I have for sizing up or down for quick reference. (TTS= true to size!) For full details, I’ll be chatting all about quality, style, and fit in the paragraphs above each photo. Let’s go!
Thermal Pajama Top + Thermal Pajama Bottoms + Reindeer Slippers
I’m a sucker for a cute pair of pj’s! And these are adorable! They also coming in matching family pajama sets as well, which is awesome! They are a slim fit, so if you prefer a more relaxed fitting pajama, size up! I’m wearing a medium in both the top and bottom! They also come in eight other prints!
And if you didn’t catch ’em, check my reindeer slippers, y’all! I immediately knew I was bringing them home once I tried them on, and I’ve been wearing them non-stop at home! I talked them up so much that even my mom went out and bought a pair for her and my sister! They fit TTS. I’m typically a 9, and I bought the 8-9 size!

Sherpa Quarter Zip + Thermal Pajama Bottoms + Reindeer Slippers
If you’ve been looking for an affordable sherpa, this one is awesome! Of course, I tended toward this cream color, but it also comes in blush pink, gray, and two festive buffalo plaids! The inside is just as snuggly as the outside! Fit is a bit wide and boxy. I’m in a medium.

And in case you needed a better peek at the slippers! I love them!!

Thermal Pajama Top + Beanie
This beanie reminds me of a fluffy snowball, and I adore it! The knit is super-soft and has such a cool looking texture. And then that faux fur pom, y’all. It makes the hat! It also comes in gray, mauve, and black!
Soft-brushed Sweater + Boyfriend Jeans
If you live for plush, soft tees, you will straight up flip for this sweater! It feels so much like the plush tees but in a thicker fabric. It is a magical fabric, y’all! ?Of course, I love this cream and gray oversized plaid. It reminds me so much of a recent Amazon sweater I shared with y’all. But that one sold out lightning quick and was not nearly this cozy!! It also comes in eight solid colors if that’s more your speed! There are three stripe options too! Fit is relaxed, but I like the medium on me.
I am also super-impressed with these boyfriend jeans! They have just enough stretch to make them comfortable, but they are 99% cotton! I love the higher cotton count because it means they won’t bag out and will hold their shape much better! The distressing is also so good, and they have a raw hem. They have a mid-rise. I’d suggest sizing down one. I’m in a 6.
Sweater (medium – TTS) | Jeans (6 – size down) | Flats (size down)
Houndstooth Coat + Soft-brushed Sweater + Boyfriend Jeans
If you’re looking for a lighter weight statement coat, I adore this one! The black and white houndstooth is such a classic print, and the blazer-like cut is timeless. It also comes in a brown houndstooth version! Size down. I’m in a small and it still has plenty of space for layering.
Coat (small – size down) | Sweater (medium – TTS) | Jeans (6 – size down) | Flats (size down)
Sherpa Vest + Soft-brushed Sweater + Boyfriend Jeans
This is just the vest version of the sherpa jacket that I love! It’s the same material with the suede accents. The material and the details make it look like a much more expensive piece! I would suggest sticking with your true size. I sized down in the jacket version to the small, but I need a medium in the vest.
Vest (small – stay TTS) | Sweater (medium – TTS) | Jeans (6 – size down) | Flats (size down)
Textured Sweater + Plaid Pants
This outfit is winter perfection in my eyes! I just love the combination of detailed sweater and fun printed wide leg pants! The pants are a midrise and hit below the belly button. They have a flat front but elastic back waistline, which is so comfy. I sized down to the small and like the fit. They also come in some other plaids, but I just love this classic black and white! In fact, I styled them in my Thanksgiving outfit ideas post earlier this week!
I’m wearing a medium in the textured sweater, but I would prefer a small. It’s just a little too oversized to tuck it the way I like to wear my sweaters. If you prefer having the extra length to cover your booty, I’d suggest staying with your true size. It also comes in some cable knit styles and so many different colors! Of course I love the white and the bobble detail. It reminds me of Madewell!
Sweater (medium – size down) | Pants (small – size down) | Flats (size down)
Houndstooth Coat + Textured Sweater + Plaid Pants + Booties
One of the things I love about holiday outfits, is that I can be a little extra! ?And this combination is bold, but I love it. The plaids work so well together because they have the same color scheme. They are also different plaids, so they don’t look too matchy-matchy.
I also added booties to the look, so you could see the pants styled that way! These booties come up higher on the ankle, making them perfect to wear with cropped pants. They also come in black! They do fit a little large. I’d probably prefer to size down 1/2.
Coat (small – size down) | Sweater (medium – size down) | Pants (small – size down) | Booties (9 – run a little big)
Plaid Button Down + Textured Sweater + Plaid Pants + Booties
This plaid mix is a little more subtle but still fun! I layered with a red and green plaid underneath the sweater. Only the collar peeks out, which is a fun small detail! I tucked the tail into the pants since the sweater is long!
Plaid (small – stay TTS) | Sweater (medium – size down) | Pants (small – size down) | Booties (9 – run a little big)
Plaid Button Down + Button-front Straight Leg Jeans
Old Navy sizing can really confuse me at times. I grabbed a small in the button down, but it is definitely too tight across the bust line! I would need a medium! Fit is more body-skimming, so stick with your true size. This one comes in ten different plaid options!
These jeans are another great find, but they also fit a bit snug. Like the boyfriend jeans, they are 99% cotton, which means they have just a slight amount of stretch. They won’t stretch out and will hold their shape better than stretchy jeans! I love the button fly and the crop is a great length on me. I’m wearing an 8 and they fit about the same if not slightly more snug in the waist than the boyfriend jeans in a 6. Stick with your true size!
Plaid (small – stay TTS) | Jeans (8 – size up if in between) | Flats (size down)
Duster Cardigan + Plaid Button Down + Button-front Straight Leg Jeans
I love the length of this cardigan! It’s the perfect length for leggings, jeans, and even maxi dresses! It has a relaxed fit with dolman sleeves and a slouchy fit. The fabric is super-soft too. It comes in four other colors. Size down one. I’m in a small.
Cardigan (small – size down) | Plaid (small – stay TTS) | Jeans (8 – size up if in between) | Flats (size down)
Sherpa Vest + Plaid Button Down + Button-front Straight Leg Jeans
How cute is this combo?! I’ve shared all these pieces previously, but I just love them together. This is definitely a holiday outfit you’d see me wear during the week!
Vest (small – stay TTS) | Plaid (small – stay TTS) | Jeans (8 – size up if in between) | Flats (size down)
Houndstooth Coat + Plaid Button Down + Button-front Straight Leg Jeans
UGH. I LOVE THIS! How fun is the houndstooth plaid coat with the Christmas plaid shirt?! You can also see that just by swapping the vest for this coat, how much the outfit changes. This looks more sophisticated and dressy, while the previous look appeared more trendy and casual!
Coat (small – size down) | Plaid (small – stay TTS) | Jeans (8 – size up if in between) | Flats (size down)
Pom Pom Beanie + Sherpa + Boyfriend Jeans
I couldn’t resist trying the sherpa on with the boyfriend jeans that I love so much! It looks so adorable with the pom beanie!
Beanie | Sherpa (medium – TTS) | Jeans (6 – size down) | Flats (size down)
Sweater Dress
This is the perfect sweater dress! I’ve tried on quite a few this year, and the quality of this one is so good and comparable to more expensive options! The sweater is a nice weight, which is not only warm but also doesn’t show every line or bump like finer knit versions. Of course I love the black and white marled look, but there is also a fair isle version too. It’s very comfortable and not-at-all itchy. It also has a mock neck with ribbing that matches the sleeve detail. Fit is relaxed but I’d recommend sticking with your true size.
Dress (medium – TTS) | Flats (size down)
Houndstooth Coat + Sweater Dress
If you wanted to dress the sweater dress up for an evening, just add the houndstooth coat! Y’all know I’m all about my flats, but a pump like these (I just ordered them myself!) would be the perfect addition to this look! You could also do an over the knee boot or bootie too!
Coat (small – size down) | Dress (medium – TTS) | Flats (size down)
Sherpa Vest + Houndstooth Coat + Sweater Dress
For a more casual outfit, the sherpa vest over the dress is also so cute! To bring in more of the brown tones, I’d suggest wearing a brown over the knee boot or bootie! It would also be so cute with an exposed camp sock and lace up boots!
Vest (small – stay TTS) | Dress (medium – TTS) | Flats (size down)
Puffer Jacket + Sweater Dress
The puffer jacket style is definitely on the rise, and this one is so good! It’s cozy and warm while also feeling lightweight on. It has a fleecy inside too! It comes in seven color options. I’m in a medium and like the fit!
Jacket (medium – TTS) | Dress (medium – TTS) | Flats (size down)
Plaid Dress
I bought this same exact dress last year in a different plaid and it was one of my most-worn dresses! (In fact, you can check out all the ways I wore it in my plaid dress outfits post here!) It is a pop-over style, meaning the buttons only come down half way. But it’s still nursing-friendly! The shape is slightly a-line and it floats away from the body. I am in a small and like the fit. Size down one!
Dress (small – size down) | Flats (size down)
Textured Sweater + Plaid Dress + Booties
This is another way that I’d style this dress. I love the textured sweater layered over it! I styled it here with the booties, but I’d also wear it with over the knee boots or heels! This is a great outfit to pair with tights as well!
Sweater (medium – size down) | Dress (small – size down) | Booties (run a little big)
Sherpa Vest + Plaid Dress + Booties
For a more casual look, I like the sherpa vest with it too! Again, I’d probably prefer more of a brown bootie to tie in the faux suede brown trim of the vest. But y’all get the idea with these taupe booties, right?!
Vest (small – stay TTS) | Dress (small – size down) | Booties (run a little big)
Duster Cardigan + Plaid Dress + Booties
With the cardigan, this dress is so cozy and comfortable! For everyday, this would be my go-to!
Cardigan (small – size down) | Dress (small – size down) | Booties (run a little big)
Houndstooth Coat + Plaid Dress
And lastly, the coooooat! Have I sold you on it yet? Clearly I was really into it with everything! It definitely dresses up this outfit a little more! I’d just add a pair of heels and a sparkly earring or hair accessory for a holiday party!
