When we originally thought Layla was going to be home a few weeks, I made it a goal to get dressed every single day. And y’all, I started off strong. But once we heard we’d be home for the rest of the school year, my resolve faded. The leggings and joggers have come out. And I know many of y’all are in the same boat! So, I ordered some items from a few favorite stores and a few price points for a big loungewear try on haul.
Loungewear Try On Haul
I ordered a little something for everyone in today’s at-home loungewear try on! We’re covering leggings, joggers, sweatshirts, shorts, and more! The items are at varying price points as well. I ordered from Amazon, Nordstrom, and Aerie— my typical loungewear go-to’s!
For reference, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 28/29 in jeans or a size 8. My bra size is a 36C, and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top.
If you ever have any question about what size I’m wearing, check the links below each image! I list any recommendations I have for sizing up or down for quick reference. (TTS= true to size!) For full details, I’ll be chatting all about quality, style, and fit in the paragraphs above each photo. Let’s go!
Get ready to see a few leopard bottom options, y’all. These are just the first. I originally had my eye on the black ones with blue spots, but they sold out while in my cart. Don’t you hate when that happens? I ended up liking these more than I thought I would, and I’m super glad that I gave the brand a try! They are high-waisted, sitting above my belly button. The fabric is so soft and light too. It feels a little thicker than my Lululemon Align leggings but not quite as thick as my 90 degree by reflex ones. But just as soft!! They also come in several other fun prints like florals, snakeskin, and camo!
You’ve definitely seen this tee over the years. I’ve had mine a while, and I was so pumped to find it on Amazon. It comes in both this white and a gray version. The fit is oversized, but I love it for tucking and tying!
And here are a few ways I’d wear these together!
For casual days at home, this combo is a go-to! And when it gets warmer, I just tie it around my waist like the photo above! This sweatshirt comes in several colors– black, charcoal, navy blue, and a lighter blue. It’s unisex sizing, so keep that in mind when you’re deciding what kind of fit you want. For a shrunken fit, size down. If you want it long with cover the booty, size up one. I went with a medium and like the fit.
I’ve seen this tee everywhere and was excited to find it on Amazon for a fraction of the price. The sizing is unisex, but I went with my typical medium. I like the relaxed fit and longer length. If you want it to cover the booty, size up one. It also comes in several other colors — black, olive, and a light gray!
I’ve shared these joggers before, but they are so good, they deserve another mention! They are such an awesome dupe for the Lululemon Align Joggers. They have a leggings-like flat wide waistband, pockets, and jogger band. I originally ordered a size large and ended up exchanging for my typical size medium. Stick with your true size for a slimmer fit like the Align Joggers.
And of course to complete the outfit, I’d wear a denim jacket! You could also layer with a light cardigan or moto jacket!
Clearly I was feeling the “mama” items when I was ordering– probably because I’m at home with my kids 24/7 right now. This is a lighter sweatshirt than the previous one. So if you’re looking for an option to wear into summer with shorts, this is a great option. The color is a little brighter than the picture on Amazon, but it’s not super-bright yellow either. I sized up one and recommend that if you want a slouchier fit.
Tie dye sets are so popular, so I had to try a couple for you! This one is a sweatshirt and short combo. (They are sold separately!) I just loved the color. It’s a faded lavender and white combination! The shirt is a drop sleeve style with slightly slimmer arms and relaxed body. I’m in the S/M and I liked the fit.
The shorts on the other hand run small IMO. I do have super-long legs, but they just felt extra short. I wouldn’t feel comfortable walking outside in these. I’m wearing a M/L and could’ve used a size larger.
This set is definitely a more bold tie dye. It’s a navy blue that fades into lavender and white. The sweatshirt fits relaxed. I’m in a medium. It has a notched v-neck and hood. There are no strings!
The joggers are super comfortable. They have a relaxed fit, but I did size up one! They also have pockets and an elastic waistband with drawstring! If you like this fit, I’d suggest sizing up!
I adore the look of this set! The white and gray leopard is adorable! The only caveat is that it’s definitely more of a loungewear/pajama look. I wouldn’t wear this outside. The thermal material leans more towards pajamas!
The top is a hoodie style with shirred elastic at the wrists and bottom. They also have ruffle hem detail! The top fits TTS. I ordered a medium. The bottoms are a jogger style without pockets. They weren’t available in a medium when I ordered, so I sized up one. Stick with your true size or you could even size down one. The elastic at the waist was so loose, it was sliding down while I walked around the house. They definitely run on the larger side!
What I love about this jumpsuit is that it’s as comfortable as pajamas! But, it’s also a one-piece complete outfit. The top is a racerback, but it has a nice wider strap, which I appreciate! The fabric is so soft and comfy! Fit is definitely relaxed! I would size down if you are in between! I always lean towards a classic black option but it also comes in olive, gray, camo, and leopard.
Ok, y’all. These might be my favorite bottom that I ordered. I love them!! They are a super-soft stretchy bike short with a cross-over waistline. The cross-over keeps it extra comfortable and also lays flat, which I love. I would recommend sticking with your true size! There is also a matching sports bra, which I’m hoping gets restocked in more sizes!
If you’re on the hunt for a comfy denim short alternative, try these!! I bought a solid color pair at the end of the summer last year and wore them constantly. They are lighter and softer than denim, making them the perfect option for wearing once it gets hot outside. They are also just more comfy than stiff denim shorts! If you’re not a leopard gal, these come in so many solid colors. I love the olive, chambray, and gray options! These fit TTS.
