It’s been a few months since I shared Walmart finds, so y’all are in for a treat! The new spring arrivals are so cute. Overalls, light layers, comfy pull-on shorts, and a couple cute pairs of sandals are comin’ atcha in my spring Walmart try on!
Spring Walmart Try On
For reference, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 28/29 in jeans or a size 8. My bra size is a 36C, and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top.
If you ever have any question about what size I’m wearing, check the links below each image! I list any recommendations I have for sizing up or down for quick reference. (TTS= true to size!) For full details, I’ll be chatting all about quality, style, and fit in the paragraphs above each photo. Let’s go!
I’ve shared my love of soft overalls before. In fact I bought these shorts version last year, and they were one of my most favorite things to wear. But I hadn’t found a pants version that I was really crazy about until I found these at Walmart! What I love about them is that they are in fact super soft, lightweight and comfortable. But they also have a drawstring waist, which helps cinch in and keep my waistline. The length is also perfect, which is kind of a miracle. Most of the time, these style of overalls look too cropped! If you’re on the shorter side, roll them once or twice at the hem for a relaxed look! They do fit oversized, and I would recommend going down one. I am wearing the size small. They also come in khaki, black, and two washes of chambray.
Okay, let’s chat about this striped tee! It is a super-soft 100% cotton fabric and on the lighter weight side. It’s a wider, boxier cut and comes in four different stripe color options. I ordered my typical size medium, but I wish I had gone with a small. Size down, and you’ll still get the boxy look! Bonus: it also comes with an adorable coordinating scarf! (Here are nine ways to wear a small scarf!)
These sandals are actually from last spring and were one of my most-worn sandals. I love the ease of being able to slip them on and off. Plus the vegan leather is actually more comfortable than some of my real leather shoes! They fit TTS and also come in black and tan.
This henley was a must-keep for me. I’m 100% a t-shirt kinda gal, and I love basics like this! It is a slim-fitting tee that comes in eight colors. And y’all — it’s under $10!! I’ve been wearing mine tucked into jeans. I love that it gives that bodysuit-like look without having to worry about snaps! It fits true to size, but I’d suggest sizing up if you want a more relaxed look.
Soft shorts are one of my favs for the super-warm summer months! They’re lighter weight and more breathable than denim! These ones are super-soft, have a drawstring detail, and elastic back. If you’re looking for a longer short, these are also a great option. I would suggest sizing down. I’m wearing a medium, and they were a little too baggy.
Once it gets hot, I often get in a little wardrobe rut. It’s not as easy to layer! But kimonos are one of the ways I can switch up my wardrobe. I love wearing them over a tee or tank and shorts. They also pair well with dresses and are perfect as pool cover-ups. It’s the perfect piece to extend the life of a vacation or capsule wardrobe! See six ways to wear a kimono here! This is a one-size option.
This jacket is a straight-up dupe for one Madewell released last spring, and I love it! The style is a fun, more playful twist on your typical utility jacket. It is slightly more cropped and as the adjustable cinched waist. It also comes in pink and olive green! Stick with your true size for a slightly relaxed fit.
How fun are these?! They also come in black and two denim wash options, but I just love the camo. It’s a fun twist on your typical overall. They have distressing at the knees are are alightly cropped on me. They do come rolled, but I unrolled them for extra length. The material is 99% cotton with 1% spandex, giving them just enough stretch to stay comfortable. I would recommend sizing up one though since they are from the junior’s department!
This outfit is probably my fav from the entire Walmart spring try on! I just love the combination of slimmer fitting henley with this a-line button-front skirt! The buttons are functional and there are some pleats in the front. Sizing-wise, I found it to run a little smaller than most of the Time and Tru line. There is no stretch at all. If in between, I’d recommend sizing up! (Keep in mind that I am straighter through the midsection!) If you have more of an hourglass figure, stay TTS.
And this bag, y’all! SO stinkin’ cute!! It comes in four options, including an all-straw option if you’re not a fan of the color-blocked look. I love the striped handle too! It’s such a fun detail. There are also longer straps so the bag can be worn over the shoulder. It’s surprisingly spacious as well!
I love a good wrap dress. The wrap style and tie right under the bust brings the eye to the smallest part of your waist. I also appreciate that the tie is sewn shut. You can tie the bow, but you won’t ever have any wardrobe malfunctions! It also comes in black, red, and two floral print options! I’m wearing a medium but would need a small. I’d suggest sizing down.
