Slim Wide Leg Pants + Puff Sleeve Top + Snakeskin Mules

Does anyone else struggle with wide leg pants? Because my legs are on the slimmer side, some wide leg pants just don’t work on me. I already own a pair of Madewell’s slimmer wide leg jeans, so when they released the slim wide leg pants, I was hopeful they’d work too!

Fit-wise, these are more fitted through the thigh area and then stay straighter down from the thigh. The slimmer leg is much more flattering on my body type than wider versions! One thing that surprised me about these is the thickness of the fabric. It’s a very substantial material that holds you in a bit. It’s not at all a flowy-style fabric but a stiffer one that maintains its shape. It does still have stretch to keep them comfortable though! The rise is high, hitting me right above my belly button. No front pockets but cargo style back pockets. They fit TTS. I am wearing the tall length! They also come in seven other color ways!

And I’m sure y’all are not surprised at all that I ordered this puff sleeve top. I love feminine details and a puff sleeve! It’s heavier than a typical tee with a textured fabric. Because of the fabric and details, these is a great top to dress up and even wear in a casual work setting. Fit is TTS. It also comes in four other color ways.

Snakeskin Mules

I LOVE me a mule, y’all! I have owned the Madewell Gemma mules for years and was so excited to see Madewell release some new mule styles this fall! These have a very classic cut with a pointed toe and loafer-style look. They call this color “blush” because they have tones of blush pink, tan, and black. The insole is padded and comfy too! They fit TTS. If snakeskin isn’t your thing, they also have calf hair leopard, and solid leather options. I highly recommend neutral light tan ones for my neutral-lovers!

Stovepipe Jeans + Puff Sleeve Top + Snakeskin Mules

This was my first time trying the stovepipe jeans, and I gotta say that I love the cut. Instead of being a skinny jean that tapers in for a tighter fit through the calf and ankle, these come straight down from the knee. They’re a mix of a straight leg jean and skinny jean. The only thing to note is that this wash fits really large and super-stretchy. I ordered my typical Madewell size and would have to size down 1-2 sizes. If you’re used to a stiffer denim, these may not be for you. But if you like stretch and comfort, they’ll be right up your alley. I’ve heard from friends that they have a similar stretch to the Roadtripper jeans, which I know some of you love!

Military Jacket + Stovepipe Jeans + Puff Sleeve Top + Snakeskin Mules

When it comes to fall through spring fashion, you truly cannot go wrong with a military jacket. The cut is so classic and timeless. What I love about Madewell’s version is that the fabric is substantial yet soft. It also holds its shape well, providing structure. Wear this over dresses, tees, sweaters, under heavier jackets! It’ll be a fall fashion workhorse, y’all! Fit-wise it does fit a slightly large. If you live somewhere warmer and plan on keeping under layers light, I’d suggest sizing down. If you want to be able to layer with sweaters, stay TTS!

Striped Cardigan Sweater + Stovepipe Jeans + Snakeskin Mules

Hello, retro vibes. I’m digging this cardigan y’all!! The stripes are olive, mustard yellow, rust and lavender! It has a relaxed fit with dropped sleeves and easy movement within the body. It’s another item that will be so versatile this fall! I’d layer this over a t-shirt dress or wear with a tee and sneakers! I’m in my true size medium and like the fit!

Striped Sweater + Mid rise Jeans

For the most part, all of my denim is high rise. But the description of these mid rise straight leg jeans mentioned that they were a great option for those of us with shorter torsos, and I immediately added to cart. They have a slight amount of stretch to them (only 1% elastane) to keep them comfy, but they still feel more like a rigid denim. It’s the perfect mix of both! The rise is 9.5″ and doesn’t feel too low. They hit directly under my belly button.

I fell in love with them the moment I put them on! And at first I was thinking maybe they were too light for fall. But they truly have a vintage look and feel to them, which makes them year-round appropriate in my eyes! I’m wearing the tall length! They also come in petite. Want a darker wash version? If you love comfortable sweaters, you’re going to love this striped one! It has the coolest braided look up close and is made of a cotton blend. Fit is boxy and relaxed. I suggest staying TTS! It also comes in a navy stripe option! The one I have is a faded gray-lavender!

Striped Button Front Shirt + Mid Rise Jeans

You can’t go wrong with a classic button-front top, and this one has the perfect relaxed oversized wearing-my-boyfriend’s shirt feel to it. The stripes have a chambray look to them, which keeps it casual along with the fit! I would suggest sizing down. I’m in the small and it’s still plenty oversized! It looks adorable front-tucked and knotted!

Tie Dye Sweatshirt + Mid Rise Jeans

Anyone else amassing a sweatshirt collection? This one is a swingy, boxy fit with a classic crewneck. The sleeves are slightly dropped but become more fitted down the sleeve. If you’re into matching sets, Madewell also makes matching sweat shorts! There are also solid color ways if that’s more your speed! Fit is TTS.

Washed Black Straight Leg Jeans + Henley Sweater

I am so excited about these jeans!! Y’all will have to ignore the fact that they are way too short on me! When I initially placed my order the tall length wasn’t available, so I took a gamble. Thankfully the tall came back in stock, and I was able to order those. For ladies 5’9″+, I’d suggest going with the tall. There are also petite lengths!

The wash is a slightly faded black, which is the perfect casual everyday black. They have an 11″ high rise that hits right above my belly button. They have some stretch (1% elastane) just like the blue denim mid rise ones I shared! The composition is actually identical, which makes sense since they feel so similar on. There is enough to stretch to stay comfortable but they still feel on the stiff side. I’m in my typical Madewell size.

Transport Camera Bag + Leopard Calf Hair Strap

This bag is another item I’m so excited about! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve realized over the past months that I don’t have a single smaller black handbag. This crossbody is the perfect size. It’s big enough to hold a couple diapers, my wipes, a wallet, and phone! I’m so impressed with the softness of the leather. It has two pockets (one inner and one outer). I also love that it comes with two straps! The one I have on has is black and white, but there is also a solid leather black strap too included.

Mid-rise 9″ Tencel Denim is the softest denim I own. Size down one from designer denim size, which is my typical Madewell denim size (28). Leather jacket fits TTS. Size up if you want to zip it up. Size up 1/2 in the mules!
