Ever since we took down our Christmas decorations, I’ve been gung-ho about our home decor! The post-holiday emptiness really hit me this year! I’m also just one of those people who always needs a project. And with the holidays over, tackling our console tables became my number one mission! I’m so excited to share with y’all our vision and how our simple, modern console table decor actually came together!
Simple Modern Console Table Decor
Although I started with our television console table, I also purchased and styled an entryway console as well! The spaces are quite different, but I had the same vision for a simple, modern space for each!
TV Console Table Decor
The console table underneath our television was one of the last pieces of furniture we added to our living room prior to the holidays. And I really didn’t give it a second thought until after we took down the white ceramic house village after Christmas. With its central placement in the room right below the television, its bareness was hard to miss!
However because there is a television above it, I wanted to make sure the console table decor was kept more minimal. Minimal decor is more my style as it is, but the last thing I wanted was a jumbled mess underneath the TV that we all look at multiple times a day!
After browsing Pinterest, I collected several items from around our house. Candlestick holders, cookbooks, and a large bowl all became props. Having a few items to work with allowed me to get a better vision of what worked in the space. If you’re looking to revamp a space in your home, I highly recommend this step! It’s amazing how it helps create a better idea of what (if anything!) needs to be purchased!

Once I had more of a vision, I hit up a few of my favorite stores: Home Goods, Target, Hobby Lobby, and World Market. Here is how my vision came to life!

We still need to fix the exposed cable cord, but for now I’m really pleased with how it all looks! You can also watch a quick video of the styling here on Instagram:
Entryway Console Table Decor
Our entryway was a space I struggled with a bit more. I put our tv console table decor together in a day, but the entryway was more of a process!
After deciding on this console table from World Market, I knew I wanted to hang an arched mirror above it. We have a circular mirror above our fireplace, and I wanted something different for the space. Unfortunately large arched mirrors were a bit of a struggle to find! I ended up ordering this one from Amazon. It’s exactly what I envisioned! Unfortunately it’s now out of stock, but World Market just released this one this week! Apparently I was looking just a few weeks too early. 😜

Although most of our home is very neutral, I’ve been adding in accent colors for interest. I was really drawn to this green lamp and instantly went on the hunt for prints that would coordinate and fit the space. If you’re looking for print sets, I highly recommend checking out Etsy! I found this set very affordably (under $10!). Then, I sent them to be printed at Mpix, which I also highly recommend for high quality true-to-life color prints!
And here is how it currently looks! I ended up coming across a woven lamp at Target, and I love how it looks in the space! But I’m trying to decide which one I prefer. You can scroll down to see the original vision!

And here is the green lamp option!

It’s very minimal and simplistic, which is 100% our style. But tell me, which lamp?
I know what you mean my house feels so empty without all the Christmas decorations.
I love the entry table look, I think it needs a colored lamp or some way to add more color.
My new project is a photo wall.
Love the arched mirror. i can see it is still available on amazon it is not sold out FYI
