Has spring arrived where you live?! It’s been so beautiful lately, which of course has me 100% ready to move on from sweaters and into all the spring fashion! And after doing a little (or a lotta) online browsing, I placed a big order of the best spring Madewell finds! New spring tops, a new pair of denim, shorts, sandals, and more are coming your way!
Best Spring Madewell Finds
I think y’all know how I feel about Madewell. It’s my go-to, especially for denim. No other brand fits me as well as their jeans do! But they have so much more than awesome denim. I placed the biggest online order I have in quite a while for a big spring try on with all the best spring Madewell finds!
My Sizing
For reference, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 28/29 in jeans or a size 8. My bra size is a 36C, and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top.

Embroidered Top + High Rise Distressed Denim + Crossover Sandals
This embroidered top is the winner of the whole order (which is saying a lot because there are a ton of cute ones)! But this one just spoke to me. With the ruffle details, embroidery, and light crinkle cotton fabric, it’s a 100% win! It also comes in white and fits TTS. I’m in a medium.
And could not have been more excited about these jeans. The Boyjean cut was my all-time favorite for years but there hadn’t been many new washes in the cut in a while. Another major plus was the distressing at the knees! It’s rare to get a distressed jean from Madewell! These have a high rise, light stretch, and I love the light wash for the warmer months! They are supposed to be a cropped length, so I ordered the tall. They’re a little longer than I’d want them to be, so I went back and ordered the regular. Unfortunately, the knee distressing is not hitting me at the right spot– it’s a couple inches too high! But otherwise I love this denim!! I ended up sizing down two (from my typical size 8/29) to a 27 for the right fit!
Lastly, the slides! Another win! I love the light tan color and crossover detail. Plus they have the cloud sole, which makes them more comfortable than your average flat! They also come in black leather and fit TTS!
Ottoman Top + High Rise Distressed Denim + Crossover Sandals
Another win with this top! The texture is just beautiful and I love the slight structure. It’s casual while still being dressier than your average t-shirt. Fit is slightly cropped with a square neckline both front and back! It also comes in black and cream!
Graphic Tee + Pull-On Shorts + Lug Sole Sandals
I love a good graphic tee! This one has a sun and moon design with the tee in a muted golden color. The fabric has light heathering and is very lightweight and soft. It fits TTS!
Another one of my favorites from the order are these elastic waistband shorts! I tried these on last summer, and when they sold out, I had some major regrets about not buying them! They have a 10″ high rise, relaxed fit, and a 3.5″ inseam. Shorts perfection, y’all. They also come in olive and blue. Fit is TTS.
What are your thoughts on lug sole? They were so hot this fall and winter in chunkier boots. And the trend is continuing into spring and summer with lug sole sandals! Even though they look heavy, they are surprisingly lightweight! They are also very supportive and comfortable on the foot! I went with these spotted hair ones but they also come in black and brown leather and a pink suede. They fit TTS.
Graphic Tee + Linen Ruffle Midi Skirt + Lace-Up Sandals
How cute is this skirt?! I can’t pass up a ruffle detail, and in combination with the wrap style, I was sold. Fabric is a linen blend, so expect a few wrinkles. It also has very minimal stretch with the flat waistband and zip closure. I love the style, but I will say it felt dressier on than I had envisioned when ordering it! This could be a great desk to dinner to weekend option! Also– something worth noting is that it is sewn on the inside to almost the knee, which feels super secure! Fits TTS. I’m in an 8.
And check these lace-up sandals! I absolutely love the style! They are a true flat leather sandal. So expect them to be a little stiff at first before breaking in. Fit is TTS. They also come in a darker brown leather and black!
Graphic Tee + Floral Ruffle Midi Skirt
Of course I couldn’t resist also trying the floral version of this midi skirt! The fit and style is almost identical to the last. However it’s ever-so-slightly shorter and is not sewn on the inside. It’s more of a true wrap. The fabric is lightweight and comfortable. Of the two versions, to me this one feels more versatile! It’s a great alternative to the slip skirt that has been popular for a few seasons now! It fits TTS. I’m in an 8.
Graphic Tee + Pull-On Pants + Lug Sole Sandals
Of everything I ordered, these pants were the first thing that I actually wore out and about. I LOVE them! They have a nice 11″ high rise, relaxed fit, and are made of 100% cotton! Plus they have an elastic waistband. I cannot recommend these enough! I do suggest sizing down. I’m in a small and they relaxed even more as I wore them.
Puff-Sleeve Top + Pull-On Pants + Crossover Sandals
How precious is this top?! It’s another fav! I feel like I’m saying that a lot, but I truly hit the jackpot with this order! It has a square neckline, puff sleeve, and empire waist. The top is fully lined, but the bottom tier is slightly sheer. The fabric has plenty of stretch and feels so lightweight on. If you have a smaller bust, you could definitely size down. I’m in a medium.
Square Neck Top + Pull-On Pants + Crossover Sandals
Another square neck top. Can you tell I’m loving that style this year? This one is made of a structured cotton and has embroidery on the puff sleeves. Fit is relaxed through the body. Because of the structure, and oversized fit, I think this style might be slightly overwhelming on more petite figures. I’m in a medium.
Embroidered Dress + Crossover Sandals
After sharing this dress, I got a big response on IG! I’m glad you love it as much as I do! It has a nice breezy cut to it, and I love the embroidered tiers. It is fully lined! My smaller busted ladies can definitely size down but otherwise it fits TTS.
Tie-Dye Sweat Shorts + Swing Sweatshirt
This set came in a couple weeks before most of this order, but I wanted to share these again in case you missed it! The sweatshirt has a swingy, wider cut to it. I’m in a medium but I wish I had sized down one! The shorts also fit on the generous side but I stuck with my true size. (Size down if in between!)
These jeans are a little older, but they’ve been my go-to for the past couple of months. They have a high rise, the slightest stretch, and a raw hem! I’m wearing my typical Madewell size 28.
Classic Tee + Tapered Pull-On Pants + Trainer Sneakers + Crossbody Bag
If you need a slightly dressier pant that can be worn both to work and on the weekend, these pull-on pants are a great option! They have a button closure and elastic waistband. The fabric also has a bit of sheen to it. I also tried the rust version, and although I liked the color, I thought the shine in the fabric was a little too much in that pair! It’s less noticeable in these ones! They fit TTS. I’m in a medium.
I also recently picked up these trainers and have been wearing them nonstop! They are so comfortable with a thick cloud insert! They come in so many different colors and prints, but of course I was drawn to this super-neutral pair. I love that they go with everything! See me style them a few ways here on Instagram.
Leather Jacket + Tee + Floral Midi Skirt + Trainer Sneakers + Crossbody Bag
Another versatile skirt option! I love that this one is longer, and with the tiers and breezy cut, it makes it much more mom-friendly! It’s fully-lined, lightweight, and easily dressed both up and down. I love it with sneakers like I styled it here! But you could also wear it with heels! Fit is relaxed. I’m in a medium.
Puff Sleeve Top + Balloon Jeans
And lastly, I had to share this new denim style that just released– the balloon jean! These are a true throwback! Although I thought I was going to hate them, I was really surprised by how they looked on! If you’ve been contemplating trying them out, I definitely recommend trying them! I’m wearing the regular length here in my true size but I could have sized down to my typical Madewell size. The leg is wider, but I like that the fit around the waist and hips is fitted.
