J.Crew Swimsuit Try On

Swimsuits may be one of the hardest things to shop for. It’s never an item that’s high on my list to try on, but with spring break and summer vacations on the horizon, it’s a necessity! So, I’m biting the bullet for ya with another round of my annual bathing suit reviews! And even if shopping for suits isn’t one of your favs, I hope you’ll still get excited about this J.Crew swimsuit try on because I found some GEMS!! There was not a single suit that I disliked– and that is one heck of a glowing review!

J.Crew Swimsuit Try On

The majority of the suits I ordered from J.Crew are one-pieces. After chatting with y’all on IG, it seems like that is your go-to style too. But I did throw in a couple two piece options that I think you’ll like too! And keeping things full coverage on the backside was another top request. Mission accomplished. I think you’re going to be truly impressed with these J.Crew swimsuit finds!!

Square Neck Ribbed One Piece Swimsuit

We’re starting off strong with this retro-inspired one piece suit! I absolutely adored the wider straps and square neckline! It’s the perfect combination of on trend and classic. The fabric is ribbed and feels like it smooths over curves so well. Plus the back has a scoop, which is such a fun detail! I’m in an 8 and recommend ordering TTS. For my fellow short-waisted ladies, consider sizing down! (I would prefer a 6 since my torso wasn’t long enough for the straps to feel secure.) It comes in four fun bright, summery colors, including aqua and clementine!

Tie-front Cutout One Piece

Um, hello, cutie! J.Crew is killing it with the retro-inspired swimsuits! The top appears almost halter-style but with straight straps. They’re also adjustable. And I love the bow detail in the center! The cutout shows just enough skin, and butt coverage is good! I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this one for super-busty ladies, but it’s plenty of coverage for me at a C-cup! Again, short torso ladies will want to size down. There was too much fabric for me beneath the cut-out! But otherwise TTS! It also comes in black!

One Shoulder Ruched Swimsuit

If you’re looking for coverage, tummy control, and an overall chic suit, THIS IS IT!! I felt so confident in this one. The wide one shoulder strap offers plenty of support for larger chests and butt coverage is perfect. The ruching offers the perfect amount of tummy camouflage. This is the ultimate in classic swimsuit! If you’re in between sizes, I suggest sizing down. It also comes in a brighter blue and classic black.

Deep V One Piece Swimsuit

Clearly I love a red swimsuit moment. But if you don’t, this one comes in a rainbow of nine color options! J.Crew has ’em all covered! Of all the suits I tried, this one is definitely the most snug-fitting. Short-torso ladies like me, stay TTS. But if you have a longer torso, I’d recommend sizing up 1-2. It is also a slightly higher cut on the leg and booty. So if 100% full coverage on your behind is a must, you’ll probably want to skip this suit! It’s also better suited for smaller chests due to the coverage up top!

Vintage Floral U-Neck Swimsuit

Ok, anyone else getting vintage Laura Ashely vibes here?! I’m pretty sure I had a comforter back in the 90’s in this exact purple and blue floral print. čśé I love the u-cut neckline and the removable strap! Sometimes it’s nice to mix it up with a strapless suit, ya know? Fit is a slightly large. I’d suggest sizing down if in between (or if short torso’d like me!)

Liberty Floral High Waist Bikini

We’re in two-piece territory! And this Liberty Print is so fun! It’s definitely a 70’s retro-looking floral! The bottoms I ordered are high waisted with good coverage. The top is super-adorable with a ruffle elastic band around the ribcage and bow ties at the shoulder! Unfortunately, it does not have any closure around the back, so it’s not adjustable there. I didn’t feel super-secure in the top, but thankfully there is another top option! J.Crew also has a more supportive underwire cup bikini top, which comes in band and cup sizes. If you don’t love high rise bottoms, there is a matching string bikini bottom. For my one-piece lovers, there is also a plunge one-piece (like the red one!) and a bandeau one piece!

Vintage Floral High Waist Bikini

Of the two piece options, this one is my fav! I just adore everything about it! The high rise bottoms have a knot-front detail. And the top is much more secure with a wider band and metal closure in the back. The straps are also adjustable. Plus, I just really love this floral! Luckily there are plenty options in this print as well! There is a bandeau bikini top, hipster bikini bottom, and a bandeau ruched one piece swimsuit! If you like the swimsuit style, there is also a brighter floral print tie waist bikini bottom and matching bikini top!
