It’s been a few months since my last big Madewell try on post, so it was well overdue to place a big order. And y’all, I found the best summer Madewell finds that will have you ready for the hottest months ahead!

My Sizing

For reference, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 28/29 in jeans or a size 6/8. My bra size is a 36C, and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top.

Smocked Mini Dress + Nude Colorblock Sandals

We’re starting off strong with my favorite dress of the order! The cut is so cute with a smocked bodice, flutter sleeves, square neckline, and flowy skirt. I also adore the color. It’s slightly pink watermelon red. And did you see the embroidery? It’s the cutest little daisy pattern. It’s also fully lined and has pockets! This one is a winner, y’all! It fits TTS. I’m in a medium.

I also ordered these sandals about a month ago and have been wearing them constantly! I also ordered the leopard version but ended up favoring these. They have two shades of tan and are a perfect neutral sandal! The have velcro straps and a slight platform sole. These are all-day comfort kind of sandals! They fit TTS.

Midi Smocked Dress

If you loved the cut of the first dress but want a little extra length, this one is your dress! It’s identical in cut– same square neckline, flutter sleeve, smocked bodice, and easy fitting skirt. But the length is a little longer, hitting me a little above mid-calf. It’s also fully lined and is so lightweight on. Unlike the first one, it’s a linen blend, which is perfect for the hottest summer days. Sizing is a little bigger on this one. I’m wearing a medium but could have easily sized down to a small.

Embroidered Mini Dress

Y’all asked for dresses, and I delivered. The embroidery of this one is what caught my eye. And let me tell ya: the details are downright gorgeous. This looks like a super-high end designer dress. It has a longer flutter sleeve with embroidery and hits me a little above the knee. The embroidery on the hem is a show-stopper. I adore the scalloped detail too! It also comes in a clay orange color. The fabric is 100% cotton and is fully lined. It fit me TTS, but my bustier ladies may want to size up since there is no stretch to the fabric.

Linen Tank + Linen Striped Shorts

Hello, effortless summer vibes. This is my new go-to outfit. The top is a v-neck tank with tortoise buttons on each side. It has a bit of a swingy fit and feels so light and breezy on. I love it with these shorts but it will also be so cute with pull on pants, skirts, and denim shorts.

The shorts are also linen, have an elastic waist, and are fully lined. They have a relaxed fit and side slit pockets. I’m in a medium and like the fit. If you’re looking from a solid pair, try these!

Sweater Tank + Linen Pull On Pants

Another effortless summer outfit that I’m loving! This sweater tank has functional tortoise buttons, a slight v-neck, and wide enough straps for a regular bra. It’s basically speaking my love language. The background is an oatmeal with subtle stitching in pale pink and shades of blue. It also comes in an olive green. Fit is TTS but relaxed. I’m in a medium.

The pants are a linen blend with a high rise and elastic waistband. The waistband also has a mini ruffle up top and a drawstring. The are fully lined but so lightweight on– a perfect summer pant! I’m in a medium. They fit TTS.

Ribbed Tank + Linen Pull-on Pants + Beaded Tote

My favorite basic tank right here! I love how it cuts in slightly on the shoulder but isn’t a true racerback. I’m wearing my regular bra with this one! Fit is close to the body and the cotton-elastane blend fabric is ribbed. It’s light enough without feeling flimsy or see-through. It also comes in five other colors, which I now own three of. It’s a winner, y’all! Fit is TTS.

And if you’re looking for a summer bag, this beaded one is so cute! It also comes in a rainbow version, but of course I opted for this more neutral option. It has wooden beads woven into the crochet design. The perfect summer bag!

Embroidered Puff Sleeve Top

I’m a sucker for a peasant-style top, but this one is my favorite that I’ve found this year! The color is clay tan-orange mix and the embroidery is such a beautiful detail! It’s a combination of white flowers along with white stitched lines. Both the neckline and sleeves are elastic, and the body is super-flowy. I’m in a medium but could have easily sized down to a small with plenty of room.

Eyelet Trim Tank + Momjean Shorts

I was so excited about this top, namely for the Fourth of July. It’s that same watermelon red that is just beautiful in person. I love the eyelet details both on the bottom and the sleeves. The fabric is a linen blend and so light, but because of the lack of stretch it was pulling a bit at the bust on me. If you’re bustier, I recommend sizing up on this one! I originally ordered a medium, but I exchanged for a large in store and like the fit much better. It fits more relaxed like the model online.

Linen Blend Ruffle Tank + Momjean Shorts

This top has a very similar look to the previous eyelet version! The main difference is that this one has the flat bottom, which it better for tucking if that’s how you like to style your tanks. It also has a much more relaxed fit. I’m in the medium in this one, which fits like the large in the red version! It is so lightweight, and I love the retro faded floral print.

Embroidered Flutter Sleeve Top + Momjean Shorts + Sandals

Are you tired of flowy top options? Because truly, they’re all I want to wear in the heat of summer. And this one is another fav! Check out the beautiful embroidery around the collar, sleeve trim and body of this flowy top. The fit is very oversized and the sleeves have such a pretty flutter. You could easily size down if you’d like, but I’m in my true size medium!

These shorts were my first pair I’d tried from Madewell this year. (I previously purchased the high rise rolled denim short in a classic blue and white last summer.) And let me tell ya: I am crazy impressed. These are everything I want in a short. The denim is a little lighter in weight and has a little stretch for comfort. They are also more relaxed through the hip, thigh, and booty. The 4″ inseam is a perfect length and the rise is high at 12″. These are my favorite short buy of the season! Highly, highly recommend!! I’m in my true size 29.

Ribbed Tank + Momjean Shorts + Court Sneakers

I’ve already shown this tank, with the pull-on pants, but I just had to show you it in pink! It’s such a fun color. I want all the colors. And here’s a better look at those shorts! Perfection!

Lastly, I couldn’t miss out on sharing these new white sneakers! You may have noticed that I am a collector of white sneakers these days, but I can’t help it. I love that these have a lower profile and retro athletic vibe. Plus they’re just so dang comfortable!! Another win! They fit TTS.
