Year after year one of my most-worn wardrobe staples is a leather jacket. From fall through spring it’s my go-to layering piece for taking outfits up a level. So, for today’s style session, I’m sharing five brown leather jacket outfits.
Five Brown Leather Jacket Outfits
I own both a classic black and a brown leather jacket, but over the past year I’ve found myself reaching more and more for my brown version. It’s adds a beautiful richness to outfits both casual and dressy, especially during fall and winter!
This is the exact jacket I own and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is 100% an investment piece. But the quality is unmatched and the style is timeless. I’ve had mine for years and it looks as good as the day I bought it. I also love the softness of the leather. It’s easily layered as you will see with these five brown leather jacket outfits! I recommend sticking with your true size unless you plan to layer with heavier sweaters.
Midi Dress Brown Leather Jacket Outfit
An LBD is a closet staple, so pairing it with my leather jacket feels like the perfect mix of classics! You can truly layer a leather jacket over almost any dress from mini to maxi, edgy to feminine. I added a boot to keep the overall look a little more dressy but you could easily swap for something more casual like a sneaker!
Leather Jacket with a Sweater and Denim
Another classic combination that never fails! You can’t go wrong with a sweater, denim, and a leather jacket! What I particularly love about this outfit is the mix of neutrals and texture. The leather plays nicely against the cable knit of the sweater. Plus, I also added a little extra texture with a suede bootie!
Layered Slip Dress Outfit
This look is all about the layers! While you could easily just throw on the leather jacket over the slip dress, I added extra interest with a tee. This look could also be achieved with a slip skirt and top, but I love getting extra wear out of items in my closet. And while I don’t own a slip skirt, this layered look gives me the look! The jacket truly completes the look. To dress it up more, I’d swap the sneakers for a heeled bootie, heeled mule, or pump!
Jeans and a Brown Leather Jacket Outfit
Can you sense a color trend happening here? I love a brown a black leather mix! And while my black leather jacket would work here, the brown adds richness and contrast to keep it interesting! I live in my sneakers these days, but a bootie would well here too! I love these lug sole boots that I shared in my Madewell try on with these jeans!
White Jeans and a Leather Jacket Outfit
Team white jeans after Labor Day over here. (In fact here are more white denim fall outfits if you need some convincing! 😉) This outfit would be also great with blue denim, but again, a little contrast keeps things interesting! Like with the sweater outfit, I also added a little texture with my shoe. The calf hair and bold print make a bigger statement than a leather shoe.
