Six Wide Leg Pants Outfits

After living in skinny pants and jeans for so many years, I’m fully embracing the wider leg pant trend. But it has been a bit of a learning curve when it comes to finding the silhouettes that best work. So, I am excited to bring you six wide leg pants outfits to help give you some inspiration and hopefully help you visualize them in your own wardrobe!

Six Wide Leg Pants Outfits

I’m styling these wide leg pants from Madewell that I picked up from my recent Madewell spring try on. I love so many things about them. They’re lightweight, making them perfect to last through summer. They also have a waffle texture that adds interest, and of course, the elastic waistband. But even with the elastic, they still have a button and zip closure, which give them a slightly dressier look than your typical elastic pants. They do run one size large, so I suggest sizing down from your typical size.

Sweater and Wide Leg Pants

For springtime or even those summer nights, pairing a wide leg pant with an open knit sweater is perfection! It adds a great mix of texture against the waffle of the pants. If you don’t want to go with a long sleeve version, try a short sleeve or tank sweater! (You’ll see me style a tank version further below!)

Button Down with Wide Leg Pants

You just can’t go wrong with a classic white button down. Mine is cotton, but for the summer months, I’d opt for a linen version for an even lighter, airy-er vibe. Although I went with flats here, you could also dress this look up even more with a heeled sandal! Want to dress it down? Swap for a plain white tee instead!

Wide Leg Pants with a Tee

For the ultimate in casual outfits, you can’t go wrong with a graphic tee tucked into your wide leg pants. To add a little structure to the look, I added a denim jacket. If the weather is a little cooler, I’d swap it for a leather jacket! To finish the look, I went with a white sneaker but sandals would also be a great option.

Embroidered Top Outfit

For a slightly more feminine vibe, I love an embroidered blouse, wide leg pants, and heeled sandal combination! Make sure to tuck your top to draw the eye to your waist. The heeled sandal also helps elongate the legs!

Bodysuit with Wide Leg Pants

Looking for a date night look? Try a bodysuit! I love how it pairs with a sleek heeled sandal. And when I’m looking to dress up a look more, I’m all about a low pony and earrings!

Sweater Tank Outfit

For an elevated everyday outfit, I love a sweater tank tucked into the wide leg pants. Like with a full-length sweater, adding a sweater tank adds interest with the mix of texture. I went with a heeled sandal for a slightly dressier vibe but a flat would work just as well.
