Well I never thought I’d see the day when I put on a pair of overalls after middle school, but here I am. I kind of hated the thought of them being back in style for a while, but one day at Old Navy, on a whim I grabbed a pair along with some other clothes to try… And then I kind of loved them.
I brought them home with me that day, but they ended up staying in the bag for a few weeks until I worked up the courage to actually wear them. I mean, for what occasion does one wear overalls these days?! I ended up throwing them on to go to a local brewery to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and then I wondered what took me so long. Even though Aaron wasn’t a huge fan, the girls loved them (even a random girl let me know that she thought they were adorable). And I feel like random compliments from strangers are a pretty good gauge for outfit cuteness. Girlfriends will almost always tell you you look cute, but when a stranger does? Success. You win this time, overalls.

Haha, yea! You can always judge by a stranger! They do look super cute! I’ve tried a couple pairs but none ever look good. I need the ones like this that are tight on the waist and butt, unlike what we used to have in the 90s, haha

The overalls are such a cute look! I love your kicks too.. Do you always wear them without socks? I’ve been searching for a casual sneaker like shoe that I can wear without socks with jeans.
While I like that overalls have slimmed down and grown up a bit, I still can’t see myself buying another pair. A middle school aged photo of me in overalls still hangs on my parents fridge, and that is reason enough for me to avoid them!
