Festival Style

Festival season: It’s here, y’all, and I could not be more excited. I look forward to this time of year and spending as much time as possible outdoors. So on the weekends, we’re always looking for festivals to attend. Luckily for us, there is no shortage of them in Virginia. From food festivals (Carytown Watermelon Festival is a yearly staple!) to wine festivals (all the vino, please!), we have a ton of opportunities to get out and about.

Now, when it comes to dressing for festivals, I’m a firm believer in keeping my look both breezy and comfortable. Being on-trend is important, but I also have to be comfortable enough to plop on the grass and kick back! That’s why maxi dresses and skirts are always at the top of my festival style list.

The first look I put together is more of a moody look in all black. It’s a bit of a departure from the typical boho-chic outfit, but it still embodies festival style, mixing lace with a breezy maxi skirt and studded lace-up sandals. Instead of wearing a cami, I went with more of an edgy vibe, layering a strappy bikini bralette underneath my lace top.

The second look I put together is more of your traditional boho-inspired style. The bright colors and gorgeous embroidery instantly drew me to this dress. And the gauze-y bottom is so light and perfect for warm weather.
