Going to the apple orchard is one of my favorite yearly traditions. Aaron and I have been going for several years but it’s one of those things that’s become increasingly fun now with a child. This year Layla carried her own bag, picked her own apple, and enjoyed playing among the trees. Although I’m pretty sure her highlight was the apple cider donut. Like father like daughter, I guess?!
For this year’s trip, I knew I wanted to wear layers. The morning was cool, in the 50’s, but it quickly warmed up to the upper 70’s by the afternoon. This light sweater from Foxcroft was perfect. I love the faux plaid button up layer. It’s such a cute plaid accent without the bulk of actually wearing two shirts! And of course when it comes to being out on the sometimes-muddy grounds, shoes with traction are a necessity! (Trust me, we saw some dirt-covered bottoms on those wearing flat-bottomed boots, and my husband was slipping and sliding last year. We learned our lesson!) I love wearing my Hunter boots for this kind of trip, but duck boots would be a great option too! (I just ordered these ones! I wish they had arrived in time for our trip!)
What are some of your favorite Fall traditions? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
