Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s your resident lipstick hoarder reporting for duty! ? Since we’re celebrating the day of love, I couldn’t think of a more fitting topic than my top 10 best pink drugstore lipsticks!
In all honesty, I had intended on sharing my top drugstore pinks and reds, but when I realized I had more than ten pinks to chose from, I had to narrow it down. (Self-confessed lipstick hoarder, remember?!) So today will be all about pink. From glosses to mattes, Barbie pinks to berries, I’m covering all of my favorite shades. And of course the best part is is that all of them are affordable! No $20 lipsticks here, folks. You can pick them all up at the drugstore, Ulta, or even Amazon prime-’em right to your door. So let’s get to it!
Although this one is a gloss, it’s not sticky. (Halleluja!) It glides on smoothly and leaves a beautiful shine. Don’t expect it to last too long, especially if you’re eating or drinking. But the color is beautiful with a bit of sheerness you come to expect from a classic gloss formula.
2. NYX Intense Butter Gloss “Pink Macaroon”
If you want a glossy look without sacrificing bold color, then NYX Intense Butter Gloss is for you! It has a beautiful shine but the color saturation of a lipstick. It’s not sticky and feels so hydrating on. I would recommend being careful while eating and drinking since the color can smear. (And no one wants bright pink lipgloss clown face happening.)
3. NYX Butter Lipstick “Little Susie” + 4. ” Fruit Punch”
This is such a beautiful coral-y pink perfect for Spring and Summer. Application is easy because it glides on so smoothly! (Guess that “Butter” name came from somewhere, huh?!) Coverage is light but buildable, making it perfect for those who don’t like super-intense color!
5. NYX Liquid Suede “Tea & Cookies”
If matte is more your style, the NYX Liquid Suede formulas are one of my favorites. It applies as a cream lipstick and dries matte. Although it claims to be waterproof, you will have to touch up after lunch. It is one of my most long-lasting formulas though!
6. Rimmel London Long Lasting Finish Lip by Kate “05 Rosetto”
I love the rose-y pink tone of this lipstick. It’s one of those colors any woman could pull off. Coverage is light but buildable, and application is smooth. It feels very light and moisturizing on the lips. If you’re just starting to venture into lipsticks, this shade would be one I’d recommend!
7. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream “Prague”
If you’re one the hunt for your first liquid matte lipstick, NYX Soft Matte Cream would be my recommendation. It glides on smoothly, has great color saturation, and dries to a soft matte finish. It’s not going to give you a super-matte look, but it also isn’t going to be as drying on the lips as many matte formulas! I own at least four of these in a range of shades and they remain a fav.
8. COVERGIRL Colorliscious “Spellbound”
Colorliscious is a hydrating formula enriched with shea butter. I actually bought this when I saw it listed as a dupe for MAC’s Girl About Town. Of course I don’t have the MAC version, but I will say I LOOOVE this color. It applies with medium coverage.
9. Maybelline Vivid Liquid Matte ” Berry Boost”
When applying, it appears like a super-pigmented gloss, and I’ll be honest, it takes a hot minute to dry. You may end up thinking you’ll be rocking gloss all day, but it does eventually dry to a satin-y finish. I wouldn’t consider it a true matte. If you want pigmented color without a super-dry matte finish, this is a great option!
I’m kinda a sucker for NYX products, but I hadn’t tried the Matte Lipsticks until recently. They apply so velvety smooth and are the least-drying matte lipsticks I’ve ever used. No cakey-ness at all even hours later. The colors are highly pigmented too! After having one shade for about a week, I went out and bought another. Needless to say, this formula is my current holy grail purchase!
