Maternity Kimono Outfit

A couple of weeks ago I shared my go-to maternity outfit: the one outfit combination that is a never-fail, even on those days when I stare into my closet stumped as to what to wear. Well, let me tell ya. I’ve got another one for you today! This maternity kimono outfit is another combination that never lets me down. And yes y’all, it’s not just for pregnancy! It’s another outfit that works for everyone!

For starters, I always begin with a basic dress. Before pregnancy, I often opted for a shift-style dress: one that is fitted without being body-con. (You can see all my tshirt dress outfits here for more inspiration!) They can be anywhere from mini to maxi length! During pregnancy, the idea is very similar, but I often opt for a closer-body fit. It’s one of those times when I’m all about showing off the bump! Whatever your style (or stage of life is!), I’d just recommend staying somewhat fitted. Since kimonos are so flow-y, you’ll want to offset that with a closer-to-the-body layer!

And the best part of this outfit combo is that all you have to do next is throw on a kimono! You can go with any length from hip to maxi length. There are also so many options from solids to prints. I tend to go for fun prints and throw them on over solid dresses, but the options are endless!
