I think y’all are as ready for spring as I am! When I asked what you were shopping for, almost everyone said spring clothes! So, I was pumped to find some cute winter-into-spring options for y’all when I popped into H&M last week! From spring sweaters to embroidered tops to the cutest stripe dress I’m still regretting leaving behind (don’t you hate that?!), I’ve got lots of goodies for you!
H&M Try On February
If you have any question about sizing, I’ll list the details beneath each photo along with any recommendations I might have! For reference, I am 5’7.5″ and currently a size 8/29/M in most clothes!
Stripe Sweater Outfit
For our weather, sweaters are still a thing well into May, and one like this is perfect! It’s lighter weight and the stripes definitely read spring and summer! I love the the cream stripe is the wider one, making it very spring-friendly. It does have a drop sleeve and oversized fit, but I liked the medium on me!
Stripe Kimono Outfit
Kimonos are such a great layering option for warmer months! This one is a nice light knit fabric that feels more like a super-fine sweater. The colors are perfect too. I love the neutrals mixed with blues! I’m wearing the XS/S and recommend sizing down one if you can. Layer this over tees, long sleeve tops, light sweaters, turtlenecks, dresses, seriously anything and everything! (You can also see me style this over a dress further down in the post!)
Pin-Tuck Top Outfit
I just tried a nearly identical version of this top in my February Target Try On, but I grabbed H&M’s version to try too! The details of this one are beautiful! It has way more embroidery than the Target version, but unfortunately it’s also nearly see-through! This definitely could not be a work top (unless you layered it with a cami) if that’s what you’re looking for!
Cropped Sweater Outfit
I loved this sweater! First of all, the color is the most beautiful lavender, although it does also come in four other colors, including blue, tan, and cream. It has a wide, chunky knit, which is so unique! It does have drop shoulders and an oversized fit. As long as you don’t mind the cropped look, I’d recommend sizing down one size! Staying TTS will give you just a little extra length.
Cable Knit Sweater Outfit
I absolutely love the texture of this sweater! It’s an oversized cable knit and is blanket-like soft. Fit is very oversized. The sleeves are pretty baggy and the length is longer, so I’d recommend sizing down 1-2 sizes based on how you’d like it to fit!
Wide V-Neck Sweater Outfit
The neckline of this sweater makes it a winner. I love how wide it is! It’s almost off the shoulder but not quite. The color I’m wearing is the charcoal, but it comes in a lot of other options, including spring-y blue, green, and lavender. Fit is TTS. I’m in a medium.
Tie-Front Top Outfit
OBSESSED. The material feels almost like a seersucker, and the light blue stripe, definitely makes it spring-appropriate! It is meant to be knotted, so you wouldn’t be able to wear it untied unless you tucked in the front. The length is longer in the back and fit is relaxed. I’m in an 8 here but would have liked to try the 6. If you’re in between sizes, size down!
Pink Coat Outfit
An easy way to transition to spring is with pastel outerwear like this beautiful pink coat! It’s not a super-heavy weight. The material feels like a thick fleece and is so soft! It also comes in a plaid and in gray! I’d recommend sizing down one.
Off Shoulder Top Outfit
How cute is this top?! It has a button front, but they are not functioning buttons. The waistline is also elastic, which creates the cutest ruffle bottom! It’s currently only available online in leopard print, but hopefully this yellow will be added soon! Fit is TTS.
Embroidered Top Outfit
The embroidered sleeve of this top totally got me! It is beautiful in person! The only thing is that the fit is big– really big. I tried it on in an 8 but I’d recommend sizing down 2 sizes. The material is slightly sheer, but I wouldn’t feel the need to wear a tank underneath it!
Stripe Dress Outfit
Y-E-S. This is the dress I mentioned at the beginning that I wish I would have bought. It is just so cute. The material is a ribbed jersey fabric, and it just hangs so well! The fit is relaxed, but I liked the medium on me and would recommend sticking with your true size. The color is black with thin stripes in white and tan. This is the perfect into-spring option!
Denim Jacket and Dress Outfit
Here is that same dress layered with a denim jacket. I’ve been looking for a slightly more relaxed fit jean jacket and this one is perfect! I love the light wash and the weight is a true stiff denim fabric. I’m wearing the 8 and like the slightly oversized fit.
Stripes on stripes for the win! I just wanted to show you another way to wear the kimono, but I actually love these two pieces together! They work because of the two different scales of stripes. (One is thin and the other is wide!) Also, the colors coordinate perfectly!
Which was your favorite piece?!
