H&M Try-On June

Holy moly, y’all. I hit the jackpot again! (I’ve been really lucking out in try-ons lately!) During my latest shopping trip to H&M, I found so many cute items and created over 10 summer outfits! And of course, everything is super-affordable! Every item is under $50. I seriously struggled to narrow it down but still ended up taking four items home with me! Get ready for some cute dresses, summer tops and more in my H&M try-on for June!

H&M Try-on June

For sizing reference, I am 5’7 1/2″ with a shorter torso and long legs. I typically wear a size 8 or 28/29 or a medium. If you need sizing details, you can always check below each photo. I list the size I’m wearing and any recommendations I have there!

Black Slip Dress

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the slip dress trend, but I tried this one on and loved it! I did size up one and like the relaxed fit of it! I could imagine myself wearing this a million ways. It’s so lightweight and the buttons are functional. And the best part? The price. It’s $9.99. Crazy, right?! It also comes in a brown leopard print!

Maxi Dress

This maxi makes me feel vacation-ready instantly! I love the yellow palm print, and the fit is super-relaxed and oversized. I would recommend sizing down one size since there was a ton of extra fabric under the armpit. It’ll still be plenty oversized! To dress this up, I’d pull back my hair and wear some big statement earrings! You could also just throw it on over your suit as a coverup for the beach!

Jumpsuit

It took all of me not to take this jumpsuit home with me. I love the scarf-style print! The top is shirred with bow ties at the shoulder. The pants are wide and so comfy. It did go all the way to the floor on me, so this might be a skip for really petite ladies! Fit is oversized. I’m in an 8.

Striped Dress

I wanted to love this one mostly because of my love of stripes and bows! But I just wasn’t big on how the tie flopped over in the center. It probably would have looked better in one size down. (I tried an 8.) On the plus side, the fabric was very lightweight and I liked the longer length!

Eyelet Trim Top + Button-front Maxi Skirt

This outfit is one of my absolute favs!! The top is a soft lightweight cotton tank with an eyelet overlay. Fit is relaxed but TTS. I’m in a medium. It also comes in black and pink. Although I love it with a maxi, it would look just as cute with a pair of shorts!

The skirt is also gorgeous! It buttons all the way down the front and is fitted through the hips. Then the bottom two tiers are a more relaxed fit. The front of the waist is flat and the back has elastic. I tried on a 6 since my store didn’t have an 8. I would need an 8! Fit is TTS.

Eyelet Trim Top + Denim Skirt

That eyelet top again. ?And this skirt is a win too! I brought it home with me and already wore it! (You can see how I wore it on Instagram here!) It’s a 100% cotton rigid denim, so I sized up one to a 10. This looks and feels like a much higher end skirt! I cannot believe it’s under $25!

Eyelet Cami + Paper Bag Shorts

I was about to walk out of the store in this outfit! The cami is so light and airy. (It’s 100% cotton.) I sized up one to a 10 and like how relaxed the fit is. You could definitely stay true if you wanted a closer fit. I ended up buying the cami because I loved it so much!

The paper bag shorts are also super-cute! They are more of a chambray and lightweight. My store did not have them in my size, so I’m in a 10 here. They definitely fit relaxed but I would need an 8. Stick with your true size.

Tie Peplum Cami + Denim Shorts

Another win! I brought this cami home with me! I originally tried it on in a large thinking it would be too cropped. But I bought it in a medium. (You can see me in it here!) It also comes in white and is under $15!

The shorts weren’t my favorite. I originally thought they were going to be more of a rigid denim fit. They ended up being super-stretchy. I tried them on in a 10, but I would need an 8. They fit TTS.

Rust Knot Tank + Elastic Linen Shorts

How cute is this combo?! I sized up to a large in the knot tank, and I like the fit. It also comes in several other colors. The fabric is textured and the bust area is lined.

The shorts are a linen blend and super-lightweight. They’re also a longer length and fit high waisted. The waist is elastic and very comfortable! The only downside is that the white were see-through. They do also come in black and rust though! You could also size down for shorter length.

Black Sundress

I couldn’t find this one online, but this is one of two black sundresses that I tried. Luckily, the one that I preferred is online! The major downside of this one is the bust. Even though there is a shirred back, it was pulling a lot. I tried the size up and then it was too big. It just didn’t end up working on me!

Blue Stripe Tie Tank

This tank is the same material as the previous striped dress and very light. It has button-front and a knot at the bottom. Honestly, I just didn’t like it on me. The knot left a big gaping hole in the front.

Gray-Black Stripe Button-front Sundress

And here is the winner dress! I also brought this home, which you probably know if you caught my sundress styling session. This is the same exact style as the previous black one but the material is a bit different. It almost feels like a seersucker. And the bust pulled only slightly. It fits TTS. I’m in an 8.
