Real talk: I never thought I’d be a bodysuit kinda girl. They just seemed like something that didn’t fit within my style or wardrobe! But when I was prepping for my last Amazon try-on session, I came across this $15 Amazon bodysuit. And I figured at that price, it wasn’t much of an investment. Plus, Prime Shipping and free returns. What did I have to lose? Obviously it ended up being a keeper! And I couldn’t believe all of the bodysuit outfits for summer I came up with!
Once I wore it for the first time, it donned on me that this bodysuit is really just like a tee. And how often do I wear t-shirts? All the dang time, y’all. And the benefit of the bodysuit is that it lays smoothly and doesn’t bunch! From mini skirts to maxis, denim to dressier pants, the bodysuit outfits are really endless!
Bodysuit Outfits for Summer
Let’s first talk about the bodysuit before we get into the outfits! Obviously, you know it’s affordable! It comes in under $16, and it’s held up for me now over several washes and has not shrunk. The material is very lightweight, which is perfect for summer! But it’s not see-through! The style I went with is a wrap, which also makes it nursing-friendly. The exact one I own also comes in black and red. (The Amazon listing also has a few other styles and colors.)
I sized up one size to a large, and I like the fit. I typically wear an 8 or 28/29 or a medium. If you don’t have a long torso, you could definitely stay with your true size. I just don’t love a super-snug fit, so the large works best for me!
Bodysuit with a Denim Skirt
Pairing a bodysuit with a denim skirt is one of my fav combos. It’s an easy, no-brainer outfit, and I love the silhouette it creates. You could simply just wear the denim skirt and bodysuit. But y’all know how I feel about a third piece, right?! And kimonos are my go-to third piece! (You can see some of my favorite kimono outfits here!)
Bodysuit (large – size up one) | Skirt (10 – size up one) | Kimono (XS/S – size down) | Sandals (9 – TTS)
Bodysuit with a Maxi Skirt
If you want a dressier bodysuit and skirt option, I love it paired with the maxi! I also added a belt to bring in more of the neutral hues, but if you prefer more of a simplistic outfit, just skip the belt! By going with a heeled sandal, it also stays on the dressier side. For a more everyday, casual look, swap out for flat sandals instead!
Bodysuit (large – size up one) | Skirt (small – size down) | Similar Belt (medium) | Shoes (9.5 – size up 1/2)– option under $20!
I also shared a mini skirt option in my last style session! See the full floral mini skirt outfits for summer post!
Bodysuit with Cutoff Shorts
I don’t know if you can get a more classic combo than a bodysuit with shorts! To make it more summer-trendy, I added straw accessories with my hat and bag. But this look is so customizable with whatever you have in your wardrobe! You could make it more sporty with a ball cap and sneakers. Or you could just keep it simple with your favorite sandals. This would work with bermuda shorts, white denim, jeans, or a denim skirt!

I recently wore this bodysuit with jeans on Instagram!

Bodysuit with Wide Leg Pants
This is another versatile outfit that can be both dressed up and down! For a business casual environment, I’d add a cami under my bodysuit and a pair of heeled sandals. For everyday, it’s perfect with these slide sandals! You could even make it more casual with sneakers! I also really wish I had a belt bag for this look. I think it’d be the perfect addition!

Very pretty outfits! Love the yellow kimono!
Denim and floral skirts are so in right now.
