Y’all, there is nothing that gets me more pumped than a visit to Madewell. There has never been a time when I’ve walked in and haven’t found something (or in most cases a lot of somethings!) that I wanted to buy! They just consistently nail the updated classic look that I can’t get enough of! And this July Madewell Try On is good! I struggled to narrow it down! But thankfully, a lot of the items are now included in their sale!

Below the try on session with my in-store finds, I’m going to share a few items I already own that are also included for y’all!

July Madewell Try On

As far as sizing goes, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 28/29 in jeans or a size 8. (For Madewell denim, I almost always wear a 28!) My bra size is a 36C and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top!

Eyelet Top and White Denim Shorts

This top is BE-AU-TIFUL in person! I just love the fire-y red color. (It’s coming off just a smidge brighter in the photo than it is in person!) But it is so vibrant and gorgeous. It does also come in black and ivory though! The buttons are functional, making it a great nursing-friendly option. Fit is very oversized! I’m wearing a medium in this photo, but I ended up preferring the small. (There is a photo at the bottom of the try-on of me in the small.) It is included in the sale!

These shorts also ended up coming home with me! I’d been on the hunt for the perfect pair of white denim shorts, and these are the winners of all the ones I tried! They come cuffed, but I immediately un-cuffed them and have been wearing them that way. The inseam is 3.5 inches and the rise is 11″, which I love. They have plenty of stretch to them and are a super-soft (not rigid!) denim. I initially tried them in my typical Madewell size 28, but I ended up preferring the 29! I’d suggest sticking with your true denim size (or one size up from your Madewell size!)!

Eyelet Top and Denim Skirt

This is another beautiful eyelet top that I loved! It’s collarless, but unlike the previous one it has a true sleeve and a very wide boxy cut. The fit is wider in the shoulders and comes more narrow at the bottom (like a slight inverted triangle!). I like the medium on me! It’s included in the sale!

The skirt is made of the lightest chambray material! You could easily wear it on the hottest of days. But it will also transition well into fall! (Just add booties and plaid!) The front buttons are functional and the belt is removable! I’m wearing an 8 and find the fit TTS. It also has pockets!

Eyelet Top and Stripe Pants

Y’all, these pull-on pants are EVERYTHINGGGG. They have an elastic paper bag style waist. They’re made of a light, super-comfortable linen-cotton blend. If you want to live in pajama pants but look more dressed up, these are going to be your jam! These could easily be worn in an office setting, but they’re perfect for the weekend! I’m wearing a medium but found them to run on the larger side. I would prefer a small.

Flutter Tee and Striped Pants

I just love the exaggerated ruffle sleeve on this tee! It’s also super light about the same weight of Madewell’s whisper tees! It also comes in a beautiful golden yellow that would be perfect for transitioning to fall! Fit is oversized. I’m in a medium but would recommend sizing down one if you don’t love an oversized tee! This one is included in the sale!

Striped Dress

Another item I adore! It’s a little difficult to tell, but it’s a muted lavender color! It has a very slight dolman-like sleeve. The shape is similar to an inverted triangle. The top is a little wider and the fit at the hips a closer to the body. If you have wider hips, I’d suggest sizing up one. I love how the pockets lay perfectly flat. And the back has a button up detail too! It also comes in a pale yellow stripe.

Jumpsuit

If you’re needing a piece that will easily dress up and down, this jumpsuit is perfect! It has a button up detail at the bust. The back is also smocked for a better fit! The leg is wide and cropped. Although the top is fitted, the cut is relaxed from the waistline down. This is such a chic piece that could be worn to work with a blazer, worn to a wedding with heels and dressy accessories, or worn everyday with sandals! It’s also included in the sale!

I wanted to show y’all this eyelet top untucked! Like the dress, it is a slightly inverted triangle. You can see the wider cut in the shoulders and how it comes in more at the waist. You could also wear this top tied! I didn’t buy it in-store, but I placed an order this week since it’s included in the sale!
