Where are all my Madewell-lovin’ ladies at?! All of y’all should be raising your hands behind your screen right now! I get such a great response from my finds, so it’s safe to say that we’re all in this together. ?Today’s Madewell try on September starts in-store. (I’m so lucky to have one close by!) But of course, that wasn’t enough. I ended up ordering a few more of the jeans to try at home as well! So, we’ve got lots of denim to share and a few great transitional tops to take you into fall!
Madewell Try On September
As far as sizing goes, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 28/29 in jeans or a size 8. (For Madewell, I tend towards a 28!) My bra size is a 36C, and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top.

Eyelet Flutter Top and Demi Bootcut Jeans
I love eyelet. Almost every single time I see it in store, I try it on. And I liked that this one was a bit different! It looks a little more patterned– like a grown-up, updated version of eyelet, maybe?! The flutter sleeve also keeps in on trend! I’m wearing a small but ended up buying it in a size medium! It fits TTS and also comes in white and black. (You can see me in the white further down!)
I’ve been trying to find the perfect pair of the demi bootcut jeans for a while now! These button-front ones were the latest I tried! The wash of the denim is a little lighter and while the hem isn’t raw, it is slightly distressed, giving it an undone look. I’m wearing the regular length 28. They felt a little snug on me. I think I would have preferred the 29. However I will say that reviewers mention that they stretch a bit with wear. I’d suggest sticking with your true size if you’re in between sizes or sizing down for everyone else.

Ruffle Top and Demi Bootcut Jeans
Can you tell I’m drawn to all the golden yellow right now?! I love the retro vibe of this top. The polka dot print is small and on the subtle side. I also love the ruffles going down the sides! There is also a side tie on each side to loosen to tighten the waistline. I’m wearing a medium!

Wrap Peplum Top
Another cute peplum style top! It seems like the trend isn’t going anywhere soon! This one is embroidered in a muted rainbow dot. It has a flattering crossover front that mimics a wrap top, but it doesn’t actually unwrap. Best of both worlds if ya ask me. ? Fit is relaxed but I like the medium on me!

Scallop Stripe Top
How fun is this top?! I just love the scalloped stripes. They remind me of waves! The fabric itself is also textured and the fit is a bit wide and swingy! It would be adorable layered with a cardigan or jacket for fall! I’m in a medium. If you’d prefer a closer-to-the-body fit, I’d recommend sizing down one.

Stripe Top
Y’all I love this one!! Of course, I’m always here for a stripe, but I just love the tiered design and relaxed swingy fit. It’s hard to tell in the photo but the stripe is actually a dusty purple color! So beautiful! I’m in a medium and like the fit! However you could also size down for a closer fit!

Eyelet Top and Slim Wide Leg Cropped Jeans
Here is that same eyelet top but in the white version! (I had on the yellow in the very first image up top!) This time I’m wearing the size medium, which is what I purchased! Definitely stay with your true size! I’ve worn it with shorts and jeans now. I can’t wait to wear it under a cargo jacket or moto jacket for cooler weather! Eyelet or lace with leather is a fav of mine!
And the jeans, y’all. I fell in love with them in store and ended up ordering them since they didn’t have my size! Sizing is a bit tricky! These run a lot smaller than most of their jeans! I tried the 28 on initially and could not even get them on! These are a 31 since they were sold out of both the 29 and 30! I ended up ordering myself a 30, hoping that is the perfect size! I’ll update y’all once those come in! But what I love about these is the slimmer wide leg! These aren’t nearly as wide as a lot of their wide leg denim, which I found to be more flattering on me!

Pleated Sleeve Top + Boyjeans
If you’re looking for lighter-weight tops for heading into fall, check out this one! Firstly, the color is beautiful! (It does also come in other options though!) It has a wider rib to it, a relaxed fit, and a pleated, slightly ballooned sleeve. It’s also bracelet length, which I always find so feminine.
This is my second pair of boyjeans and it was love at first try!! (You can see my distressed pair here–they’re also on sale!) They fit so wonderfully. The rise is high– 10 inches and hits right at my belly button. I love the straighter leg cut. Also the denim is so soft!! These have no distressing, which makes them perfect for dressing up and wearing to the office on casual days too. I’m wearing a 28 tall and love the fit. I’d recommend the tall version for ladies 5’9″ and up. My legs are just super-long, which is why I went with them over the regular length.

Pleated Sleeve Top + Cali Demi Bootcut Jeans
Like I mentioned previously, I really want to love Cali Demi Bootcut Jeans! But I have never followed through and kept a pair. Below I’m wearing the regular length on the left and the tall on the right. I feel like I’m kind of stuck between the two lengths but I prefer the talls. (As with the previous pair, I’d recommend ordering talls for those 5’9″+!) These are probably my fav pair I’ve tried to date. I love the classic blue wash and the raw hem. They are also just super soft and stretchy. Size down an additional size if you’re in between! I’m wearing a 28.

Pleated Sleeve Top + Slim Wide Leg Cropped Jeans
And here are those same slimmer wide leg jeans that I ordered after trying them in store! These are the size 30, and honestly I’m still debating between sizes. I’m going to go back to the store and hope to find a 29 this time! The cut is so classic. It’s one you can dress up and down. Plus the slimmer leg is very flattering!

Daisy Barrette
IN LOVE with this sweet little barrette! It’s gold plated and has rubber around the bar to help prevent sliding!
