When I announced our new home build, I shared that one of our favorite spaces is the screened in porch! It’s a beautiful space right off the great room that has a tree-house type feel. So, while most people might be planning how to decorate their interior, I went to work and starting planning our outdoor furniture inspiration. ? 

In case you missed it, you can see a full empty house tour here! But here is a look at the outdoor space that we’re working with!

It’s a 16×14 screened in porch with beams. There is also a two-way stone fireplace that peeks into the great room. After being in the house for over two weeks, I can tell you that it’s also incredibly peaceful. We love sitting outside together as a family after dinner. And I love sneaking out there first thing in the morning before the kids are up to have coffee!

Since it is a larger space and we do have a larger family, finding a good amount of seating was a top priority! Our minimum requirement was seating for five, although we were really hoping to accommodate more for when guests come. In the end, we ordered one larger sofa, three individual chairs, and some jute poufs that could double as seating!

We’re still awaiting the arrival of almost everything, but I’m thinking we might even be able to add another one of the dark gray chairs once we get everything into the space! For now we’ll have seating for six with two flex options with the poufs!

As far as vibe, our goal was to keep it neutral and modern with a mix of textures. I think we accomplished it! Mixing in the woven chairs, jute poufs, and woven details of the rug keeps in interesting. And I can’t wait to become a crazy plant lady and bring in some color with plants! We already received one of the chairs and the two poufs, but I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of everything else! I’ll be sure to update y’all as more starts to arrive!
