Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020: My Recommendations

Fall clothes have always been a favorite of mine! The layers, the booties, the jackets– it’s so much more fun than dressing for summer! So, it’s no surprise that the #Nsale continues to be one of my favs. Getting to preview new fall merchandise at a discount gets me pumped for the coming season! But this year with everything else going on, it all seems less important. So this year, while I’m still sharing my top recommendations for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020, I’ve pared my wish list and recommendations way down.

I’ve narrowed down my picks to classic basics that will be staples for any fall and winter wardrobe. These are items that I personally already own or that are on my current wish list. You may even recognize a few from previous years!

Lip Kit | Suede Booties | Military Jacket | Skinny Jeans | Blanket | Loafers | Bike Shorts | Leather Leggings | Suede Jacket | Mules | Cardigan

CB Lip Kit – I am a lipstick junkie. (Remember that time when I emptied my purse and had something like 15 in there?! Yea.) So, it’s kind of amazing I just bought this Charlotte Tillbury set last summer during the sale. But I love it, y’all. The color is flattering on so many skin tones. My sister, mom and I all tried it on to demonstrate! It’s a classic neutral.

Suede Booties I bought these light tan ones (color: Tortilla Suede) last year and they were the only booties I wore nearly all season. But I’ve been wanting a slightly taller shaft ankle boot length for cropped jeans and skirts. These are the perfect height. Plus I love the darker brown color. They also come in black, light brown, snakeskin, and white!

Military Jacket – I bought the camo version of these jacket two summers ago during the #Nsale, and it is my favorite military-style jacket I own. The length is slightly cropped. Fit is boxy, but there are drawstrings at the bottom to help cinch. I know it’s a pricier item, but for me, cost per wear has 100% been worth it! Fit is TTS but relaxed. It also comes in black and a dusty pink.

Skinny Jeans – When it comes to classics, a dark wash skinny jean is one of my wardrobe staples!! They can be dressed down and up and are so versatile. Sizing is limited, but I’m hoping for a restock or some returns so I can snag these!

Tassel Blanket – Have I ever told y’all how obsessed I am with my Barefoot Dreams blanket? I AM. And now my mom and sister both have them too. They are truly the softest. And what I love about this one is that it looks more like a throw blanket I could keep on my couch! That tassel is the cutest detail! Plus the colors are perfectly neutral!

Loafers – I tried to snag a similar pair last year but they sold out before I ordered them! I am a flats girl through and through, and the classic loafer cut makes them a timeless shoe I can wear for years! Leggings and skinny jeans + these are going to be my fall go-to. If you’re not into snakeskin, they also come in six other colorways!

Bike Shorts – I’ve been obsessed with my Spanx leggings for years now. So of course Spanx bike shorts are right up my alley! (Here are six ways to wear bike shorts if you’re wondering how to style them! ?)

Faux Leather Leggings – 100% my #1 fall to winter staple. Especially with us being home more, expect me to live in these, y’all! I’ve styled them so many ways for you over the years. Check ’em out: over 20 Spanx leather leggings outfits, 4 Spanx leggings outfits for winter, 8 more Spanx leggings outfits. I recommend sizing up one for a little more comfort!

Suede Jacket – There is a certain suede jacket that is always a fav year after year, but trust me when I say, this one is where it’s at. The material is softer, has a better drape, and just a less trendy look!

Mules – For the past several years, my go-to fall shoe has been a mule! I love how easy they slip on, and they look great with leggings and jeans! Nordstrom recommends sizing up 1/2. I can’t decide between these suede ones or the white! They also come in leopard print and black too!

Cardigan – There are quite a few cardigan options in the sale, but I was a little underwhelmed with all of them except this baby. I already own 5-ish (give or take) Barefoot Dreams cardigans, but the look of this is the least lounge-y option I’ve seen them make! Plus I love the length! I’m keeping my figures crossed it stays in stock because I can’t wait to try it!
