It’s hard to believe that a few short years ago I was not a coffee drinker. Having a second child changed that real quick! 😂 Now my morning coffee routine is my favorite way to start the day! So, I decided to step up my game and create a modern home coffee bar that get’s me even more excited about my morning cup of joe!

Modern Home Coffee Bar Reveal

With an outdated coffee maker and a countertop that was more of a mail-collector than anything else, having coffee at home wasn’t exactly an exciting part of my day. But with the school year well underway and juggling several after-school activities with my girls, I wanted to make my morning routine more intentional. No more coffee spots on the piles of junk mail laying on the counter. I wanted to actually enjoy my morning! A small step to help me on my way was creating my very own modern coffee bar setup.

It truly is the little things. And having a beautifully-designed, clutter-free space is one small thing that keeps me at peace. Another is having a cup of coffee that’s just as good as the coffee shop in my own home. I’ve had my eye on Nespresso machines for years but just couldn’t get myself to the pull the trigger.

I don’t know why I waited so long. Ours makes both coffee drinks and espresso, which is perfect for someone like me who loves variety! Plus it’s just as simple to use as my previous coffee maker but with coffee that’s world’s better.

For organization and to get that coffee house vibe, I picked up this spice rack and used it as a coffee stand! Of course I also grabbed a candle and a dedicated coffee spoon! I love that it matches perfectly with my modern black speckled coffee mugs all from Walmart Home!

And of course I had to throw in a little greenery! This succulent came from the garden section at Walmart and adds the perfect amount of life to my coffee nook!

Although a small change in my home, having this space and dedicating time in the morning for myself has changed my morning attitude and feeling of peace as I start the day with my family. As moms, we often are focused on taking care of everyone around us. But its so important to take the time for self-care! Of course, self-care to you may not be the perfect cup of morning coffee. Whatever makes you happier and more at peace, Walmart wants to help you find it in honor of Self-care Awareness Month.
