You know what is exciting? Walking into a LOFT store last week and trying on clothes in the dressing room. It’s been such a long time since I’ve done in-store shopping at the mall, and it was so fun! I tried on spring dresses, tops, and shorts, putting them together in a few LOFT spring outfits for you! Let’s go shopping together!
For reference, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 28/29 in jeans or a size 8. My bra size is a 36C, and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top.
If you ever have any question about what size I’m wearing, check the links below each image! I list any recommendations I have for sizing up or down for quick reference. (TTS= true to size!) For full details, I’ll be chatting all about quality, style, and fit in the paragraphs above each photo. Let’s go!
LOFT Spring Outfits
You probably know that I’m a t-shirt dress gal at heart, and this one brings the best of a tee dress and a dressier midi cut together. It’s made of 100% cotton that feels a little heavier and more structured than your typical tee. The sleeves are ever-so-slightly puffed and the fit through the body is easy. I sized down one to a small and like the fit.
If you’re looking for a great work to casual wear option, this dress is it! I adore the floral print and mix of blues and pinks together. It has a v-neck and is button-front, making it nursing-friendly. There is an easy empire waist and relaxed fit through the skirt. The length is perfect, hitting on me just a few inches above the knee. I sized down one to a small and like the fit.
For spring through early fall, I adore an open-knit sweater, and this one is so beautiful. It’s a mix of pointelle with a bobble texture, but isn’t see-through at all. It also comes in pink and blue, but of course I was drawn to the white! I recommend sizing down one. I’m in a small.
I’ve officially become a huge fan of pull-on pants. Sure, I’ll never give up on my denim, but an elastic waistband pant is such a great alternative! These have a minimal paper bag waist detail with a drawstring. They hit high rise and the legs are a slim straight leg (slightly tapered). They also come in pink and black. Fit is true to size.
Of course I found another white top. This one has an eyelet detail around the neckline and a double ruffle sleeve. Fit is slimmer through the body. It also comes in navy blue.
I also was super-excited to find another pull-on pant option. These ones are Lou & Grey, which is one of my favs! They have a high rise, elastic waistband with a drawstring and hit right above my ankle bone when unrolled. The fit of these is a little more relaxed through the hips than the last pair. Of the two, these are definitely my favorite. They also come in navy and light khaki. I’m in a medium and like the fit.
With the embroidered pin dot, shirred neckline detail, and easy fit, this top is right up my alley! I absolutely adore it! It makes a wonderful work to weekend top. I sized down one and it’s still plenty relaxed!
If you’re looking for a classic pair of shorts, these are wonderful. They have a longer 4″ inseam and slim fit through the hips. The rise is more of a mid-rise, hitting below my belly button. They come in five other color options too! I’m in an 8 and like the slightly relaxed fit. However if you’re in between, size down! I have a feeling these are going to stretch with wear.
Hello, favorite top find of the daaaaay! You would laugh if you saw what I walked into the store wearing in comparison to this. It was the exact same embroidery in another color. So naturally, I had to try this one! It has a square neck, puff sleeves, pleating at the bust, and easy fit through the body. It’s made of 100% cotton and is super-comfortable too. My store only had a small, so that’s what I’m in. But I would prefer a medium. It was pulling a bit at the bust and has no stretch.
