A striped shirt is one of those items that is a forever wardrobe staple in my closet. It is a timeless, versatile item you’ll wear regardless of seasons or trends. But there something about warmer weather makes me want reach for mine even more. So I couldn’t wait to share some new striped shirt outfits for spring with you!
Striped Shirt Outfits
With warmer weather right around the corner, these striped shirt outfits are the perfect transitional looks. I am styling this exact tee from Madewell. What I love about this specific tee is that it’s a not a stark black and white contrast. Instead it’s more of a creamy white with faded deep gray. The color combination along with the ringer neck feels a little more fresh and modern, especially for spring.
White Denim, Long Cardigan, and Striped Tee
You can’t get much more classic than pairing a striped tee with your favorite pair of white denim. Although you could easily swap for blue denim if your prefer, there is something about white jeans that brings a freshness to a look. To keep it modern, I topped my outfit with an open weave duster cardigan. The light sage green shade feels very spring-ready. I finished the outfit with brown leather accessories. For warmer days, I’d opt for a sandal instead of mules. A white sneaker would also make a great shoe option.
Wide Leg Pants Outfit
Another modern take on your striped tee is to pair it with a wider leg pant. Although skinny pants are a forever-classic, wider legs are currently trending. Try a straight leg, flare, or wide leg like these. What I specifically love about these pants is that they have an elastic waistband but still have a button and zip closure, giving them a dressier feel. The texture also adds interest. For everyday a flat sandal or sneaker would work, but for a more elevated outfit, I love adding a heeled sandal.
Sweater Coat Outfit Idea
This sweater coat has been my go-to outfit topper since the fall. I love the relaxed fit that feels a little less fussy than a traditional blazer, but the details keep it polished. A sweater blazer or regular blazer would also work well here. For a casual work day, I would wear this with heels or a slim flat. But for everyday, I’m all about a sneaker.
Olive Pants, Denim Jacket, and Striped Tee Outfit
Another go-to wardrobe staple in spring is a good pair of olive pants. These have a straight leg and more relaxed fit. If you want something a little more tailored and office-appropriate, check out these. I topped the outfit with my favorite denim jacket, but any light jacket would work here. You could also swap for a cardigan.
