I have admired Summersalt swimsuits from afar for years now, but with summer on the horizon, I decided it was time to finally place an order and try them for myself! Get ready for a big Summersalt swimsuit review, featuring eight one pieces and two pieces!
Summersalt Swimsuit Review
To truly accomplish a Summersalt swimsuit review, I had to order a few of their most popular suits. The Perfect Wrap Swimsuit, The Sidestroke, and The Backflip are all included! But of course, I mixed it up with some others as well! Never one to bury the lead, I’ll tell ya: I absolutely loved these suits, and I think you will too!
My Sizing
For reference, I’m 5’7 1/2″ with a short torso and very long legs! I typically wear a 29 in jeans or a size 8. My bra size is a 36C, and I typically wear a size medium (or 8) top.
If you ever have any question about what size I’m wearing, check the links below each image! I list any recommendations I have for sizing up or down for quick reference. (TTS= true to size!) For full details, I’ll be chatting all about quality, style, and fit in the paragraphs above each photo. Let’s go!
Summersalt Perfect Wrap Swimsuit
Hello, YES. I can stop here. No need to go on. This wrap is truly my ideal swimsuit. I love that the wrap is a faux detail, with full coverage underneath that matches the other side. The tie cinches at the perfect spot at my natural waist and helps create curves. For anyone with an apple shape or straighter midsection, this cut is so good at accentuating the waist! Booty coverage is moderate, with a slightly cheeky cut. But I did not feel uncomfortable with the coverage at all. I sized up one and like the fit. It comes in a ton of color and print options, making me want to order at least one more (prob the leopard print, let’s be honest).

And of course, I went back and ordered a few other prints! This suit is truly one of the best out there!!

Summersalt Sidestroke
This was the first one piece swimsuit from Summersalt that caught my eye a few years back. I love a one shoulder detail, and the diagonal panels make it just so good one the figure! It has such asymmetrical good back cutout as well that you have to see! (Peep it here!) The butt coverage is also full on this one! It comes in nine color options, including their famous colorblock! I sized up one and like the fit.

Two Piece Bikini
When I saw this fun floral print from their Rifle Paper collaboration, I had to try it! The Wanderlust top has soft built-in cups, adjustable straps, and a hook closure with three loop options in the back. The bottoms have a mid rise, higher leg, and waist tie detail. I sized up one in both but should have stayed true to size. I found the bottoms especially large. If in between, size down in the bottoms!

Ruffle Backflip One Piece in Floral Print
How beautiful is this print? You know I’m a sucker for a good ruffle, so I had to try this one piece! It has a deep v neck, an empire waist panel to cinch the waist, and a gorgeous square open back. I sized up one, but with my short torso, the straps are too long with the open back. I’d suggest staying true to size unless you have a longer torso.

Summersalt Ruffle Backflip
Yup, I ordered this swimsuit twice! I loved the cut so much I wanted to also try one of their signature color block too! You can get a little better look at the cut of the suit in the color block! I just love it. I ended up reordering in my true size and prefer the fit of that much better! My short-waisted gals out there will definitely want to stay true to size!

Summersalt Ruched Backflip
Since I loved the ruffle version of this suit, I had to check out the classic version. I love this too– SO MUCH. The cut is identical: wider straps, deep v, cinched waist, and square low back. It’s perfection and a great more-classic option for those of you who don’t love a ruffle! I’m in an 8.

Ruffle Oasis
Don’t act surprised. Your girl had to try the other ruffle option too! This is a great alternative to the ruffle backflip if you don’t want a deep v, and you prefer a thinner shoulder strap. I love that it still has the waist panel! This one hits me a little below my natural waist (hello, short torso probs). It also comes in solids if you’re not into the polka dot print.

I loved the cut of this suit so much I decided to try it in a few more options! So I went back and reordered. I think my favorite is the colorblock!

Summersalt The Wave
Next up: The Wave! What drew me to this one was the ultra-classic cut and ability to get that white and black color block that I adore on the backflip suit! This is another beautiful suit option that I love. I sized up to a 10, but I ended up exchanging for my true size 8. It fits true to size!

Ribbed Belted Backflip
I’ve been on the hunt for a ribbed swimsuit since they started trending. But oftentimes, I don’t love how ribbed suits can end up accentuating every bump. This one though, is my favorite that I’ve ever tried. It feels supportive and I love the cinching from the belt! I ended up ordering it in both green and brown since I had a feeling I’d love the cut! It has a deep v front and the classic open back as with all the backflip versions! I’m in an 8 and found these to fit a little more generous than their other suits. Size down if in between.

Okay, which is your fav from this Summersalt swimsuit review?! My #1 is definitely the wrap, but I’m struggling to pick a second option!
